Hiya Reiko. Greetings from England! I used a combination of VirtualDub and SubStation Alpha (both downloads). You can buy a VirtualDub instructions ebook online as well. It is too complicated a process for me to explain in 500 characters, but basically VirtualDub creates the 8 bit mono wav file that you use SubStationAlpha to convert into subtitles (an ssa file); then you use the Subtitler Filter (which you have to download) on VirtualDub to 'burn in' the subtitles.
