I think Ashton is talented. If they can keep up the good writing on the show and make the introduction of his character plausible (and reasonably explain Sheen's sudden departure), it could be good. I'm curious to know how the new character will fit with the current ones.  Should be interesting enough to make me watch the first episode of the new season anyway.

I'd say it's a bad move for ashton. Sure, the money is probably good, but if the show fails after he joins, the perception will be that he killed it or he couldn't measure up, which will be bad for his career. If he can keep the show a success then good for him, but I think alot of people watched to see sheen.
