its actually okay for acne prone skin, i have horrible acne and ive used everything, colorstay and such and this has yet to break me out which is amazing. It is in fact a heavier consistency but that just means it covers more and you use less of the product which in return wont clog your pores, just remember to wash your face twice at night. once to remove the makeup and the other to actually wash your skin

I been using this too, and everything you said is true. =] At first I didn't know which color would match me so I went to the MAC department and they did a makeup match-up for me. I'm the same skin tone as you, but they gave me NC44 instead. I'm too lazy to go change it so I use it anyways lol.

I have very oily skin and someone recommended studio fix fluid. I loved it and a wore it like about a week every single day because I was in love with it until I started having bigger breakouts than ever and it turned out it was for the foundation. I was so sad, I hope they could solve that it is the greatest foundation ever.

It is good for ppl with oily skin because it contains silica, and to those that do break out from this foundation it maybe too heavy for you! I been using makeup since a long time ago and I have never broken out! The thing with this foundation is what i said before too heavy since its full coverage! I have oily skin and it works wonders, but i also have bare escentuals which is really good for ppl who are prone to acne!

yea.. i have acne prone oil/combo skin and this broke me out.. i was wondering why and wen i stopped using it, my skin went back to normal. must b some chemicals from the product.. a good dupe is the revlon color stay foundation for oily/combo skin.. the coverage is great and doesn't break me out. try the studio fix if you'd like though.. everyone is different. it may work for u.

i don't think it's heavy coverage. i use a tiny little bit with 1 187 brush and get a really nice coverage that doesn't look fake... it's very buildable!

I dont use a brush now. I was using the 109 but now I am using the BEAUTY BLENDER. Still testing it out for now. I will give a review/ application soon!

They say that because this foundation is very Matte which is good because it has a low oil factor. The reason why I dont recommend it to people whos acne prone because the thicker the makeup, the harsher it is. Pores would get clogged easier. Just because its not oily which is good for acne/oily skin, doesn't mean its healthy.

You're right and you're wrong, the highest "coverage" MAC offers is Full Coverage foundation. Recently they moved the product to the PRO store, so in that respect, I guess you are right, but just for everyone to know MAC Full Coverage provides even more coverage if you need it :D

For your oily and acne prone skin you might wanna skip liquid foundation since it clogs your pores more easily. But if you do favor liquid like me, you should use Make Up Forever Matte Velvet because that also has great coverage and didn't break me out.

If you want something less pricey, TrueMatch is also great with buildable coverage but you just needa touch up more often.

Sorry to easedrop but if you have the money, I would suggest Laura Mercier foundation. Its a cream one and it comes in a tube. You get 35 milligrams.

this is actually a good foundation for oily skin because of the high powder content in it. it helps suck up a bit of oil on your skin when you wear it and it is one that is a long lasting foundation so it wont slide off for you oily skin viewers! I really like this foundation. I have kind of combination skin and I get a bit oily during the afternoon in my T-zone and this works for me. :)

This is actually a great review. I've tried this product and you're right. Makeup can and will do some damage to the skin, even if you're careful. One good way to help avoid breakouts with this product is to use a primer, but it doesn't solve all your problems.
