  • i really like your origami models thanks for this video you are a genius

  • i like your work

  • why cant you do this like a phizz unit-fold in fourths and then do all of that stuff?

  • dude ur so awesome

  • i am trying to create my own model for a gir i like it wi be some sort of a heart do you have any bases i should start it with maybe a bird base or a pig base?

  • fujimoto method= what i tried, and what i failed.

is there a pinch-crease method you can use to get

5ths? like pinch then it intersects with another fold

and that space between intersection and edge = 1/5?

  • very nice vid! you got a good voice for this, very energetic. thanks a lot for showing that divide-in-fifths technique :O helps a lot ^^.

  • Sweet models in the background.

  • Oh wow I didn't know you posted videos on youtube! More people need to see this video, it really gives some excellent techniques. I've been trying to devise some trigonometric ideas to divide paper in to 5ths, but this estimation technique is so elegant and similar to what I do in other contexts that I will certainly adopt this method!

Thanks so much for this, I hope this video gets more views soon. Hope to see more from you!

  • If you want to learn about folding into 5ths, either using geometry or trig or by the Fujumoto method shown in this video, check out my book Project Origami. It has all that in it, plus lots of other math.

  • Hmmm...I have been able to fold in to 5ths successfully, but I could sure use some new methods as well as more math behind origami. Thanks, I'll have to check out your book.

  • I love it! I can't wait to make one :O I'm gonna bounce it around all day lol

  • Hi!

First of all, I LOVE your work. I started off with the PHiZZ unit over a year ago, and now I am hooked on modular origami.

Now to business: May I create a tutorial on this unit if I cite your work? I would hate to gain exposure through your lovely work without your approval.

    Thanks!

    Your Fan,

  • Email me directly. I don't understand what you're asking permission for, really, and I'm not likely to give permission to someone anonymous. :)

  • Excellent Work!

  • Very nice video.

I like the look of the 30-unit Icosahedron.
