Doug screw what the poostabbers on BBC say, staged or not you PROVED the unit floats, is waterproof and is quite a bit tougher than we think they are. I've never feared my 1197 falling off because of the huge metal ram I have it on, but I am about to put my 997 on the bow via the 2.25" ballmount from H-bird and I'll rest easier knowing it can take more abuse than I think it can. THANKS for all your help and salesmanship on these units. H-bird owes you plenty!!!
