wow if you get the chance see them live you wouldn't think they would be such a great livew band with all the electronic refinements but they pull it off with flying colors. Minus the Bear is quite a strange band to try to pin down to a certain sound. Every record is different, but once you hear it, you KNOW it's Minus the Bear. They've evolved a lot, but they have this distinct sound. One band I find great joy in just listening to. Even the instumental parts. With many other bands, it's rather boring without the vocals. Minus the Bear is different. They are the sound of awesome.
