As for Iran, there was no longer a war between them and highly unlikely that Saddam would ever get into conflict with them again. In fact, even after Saddam murdered thousands of Shiite people after the 1st Gulf War, Iran did nothing. Lastly, Iran was a threat to all the other countries you mentioned even before the 2003 invasion so nothing has changed in that regard.

If Gravel were president he would do the type of house cleaning that we both need and crave. He would need an army by his side though because the last reformer president was MURDERED (JFK) as well as all of those that might follow in his footsteps: Bobby Kennedy, JFK Jr., and SENATOR PAUL WELLSTONE.

If this is how you feel, e7g, then you should be supporting Ron Paul. He's also not bought and paid for. I do like Gravel and Kucinich, but their fundraising numbers are abysmal and they stand no realistic chance of winning the Democratic nomination. RP's already at $18.5 million raised in the 3rd Quarter alone and his donations are coming from the PEOPLE, not big business, big pharma, big oil, or AIPAC.

Mike Gravel and Ron Paul are only tolerated to give the false impression of fair elections and democracy. The same forces control both the democratic and republican party at the top level. Fact is, the last two elections were rigged.Ron Paul and Mike Gravel would be the ultimate combination for the type of change that common people need, but never forget that the same machine that murdered KENNEDY has no plan on letting that happen and this type of element doesnt leave through voting.

No matter who you vote for on a presidential level, the matter is already decided whether you like it or not. The last two elections were bogus. The supreme court set bush in place the first time and 2004, kerry didnt challenge the crooked voting situation in OHIO. There are countless ways for the infinitely wealthy and powerful to sabotage elections that it boggles the mind.

Everybody knows that Democratic candidates usuall y sell out or suck up to the Jews at the AIPAC conventions, telling them that the whole conflcit was NOT Israel's fault. Obama didn't go "it's all your godam fault!! which really isn't, but didn't sell out. If you listen or read his whole speech you will see how he talked about how BOTH Palestine and Israel share responsability for this... that really didn't go well with the Jews...

I don't think he will go and fight for Israel. Why? again, the speech he said, even tough it wasn't "hawkish" though for Israel to be responsible for its actions (which i believe they should), it was definitely not the usual pandering, Clinton for example gives to others. Obama actually got criticisms from both sides of the conflict. Even Jimmy Carter found out that it's impossible for the worlds most powerful country to stay out of other countries business.

AIPAC is the most powerful lobby group in washington who bully congress and bribe policitians. if you haven't yet, go do some research. its a lost cause, but at least Americans are beginning to wake up.

as what concerns his views on the MidEast, I sympathize with him...however-though this could be seen as less important-I don`t know what to think about his views concerning separation of church.but it`s up to Americans to decide.
