I swear I cannot stop watching this video. Absolutely amazing! Since first seeing this video over a year ago I have decided that I want to learn to move like that. You girls are both my inspiration. I can't afford to take classes from Awalim YET but when I can get the money to do it you better believe I will be there! Once again absolutely wonderful. Now I'm going to go back to watching this video and practing. ^__^
wow...my idols....you girls were great. really good.....pretty fucking good!! ive seen alot of performances that bore me... really good music, choreography AND comstuming...love it
I love the tribal costumes, the choice of music and the dance, but I did see you do this with a slightly different variation on the sword part which i felt was a better series for you and how well you work together I can't wait to see more dances from you both!
So, how's one of the best dancers I've spoken to doing? I hope she's back on stage or at least thinking about it because I can't wait to see some more shows from her. :)
Eh, here we go again! :P Jacqueline, you're great! I confirm the first impression I had with the other video! Keep it up because if you don't...uh..if you don't you'll have a crying fan! ;P
From Jacqueline: "You are precious! I just want to give you a big hug! You are too sweet. Your compliments are appreciated more than you know - thank you!"
Well.. :) you're VERY welcome! You're a great dancer and I hope you know it (cuz now I'm looking forward to see something more from you too!) :P
*smile* As for the hug.. who knows, we might meet since WHEN (not IF) you're getting back on stage we're probably gonna see sometimes. :) Thank YOU for being so kind anyway.
Only criticism I have: if those are "supposed" to be real swords, the dancers shouldn't be touching the blades. If for no other reason than to preserve the illusion. Otherwise, beautiful dancing.
lol, that is just tribal costuming. Cabaret belly dancers tend to wear more of a glittery look--while tribal dancers tend to go for a more grounded, earthy look. The costumes in this video are fantastic as well as the dancers! Hope I helped =D
The base was a student choreography that Ziah taught to her students. It has been remixed more than a couple times and this is the latest version, remixed by Jacqueline and Jessyka.

Actually, the way they were holding them is correct for what they are doing.

Great performance! :) Dancing with the swords on your heads must be incredibly difficult. I could give it a try next semester of belly dancing.

What is the name of the song?

The song is Sebrendita by Ekova. I think that's the right name... If not, it's close! ;)
