  • @raieyez Shalawam Ahch!

  • In the Latin Vulgate, St. Jerome translated Greek αἰών / aiōn as "saeculum" defined as "generation, century, age, world." It's where you derive the Latin, "seclorum" meaning "of the ages." The English, "secular" is also derived from saeculum, through Latin, secularis "worldly, world-like" & the Spanish, siglo "century." Latin ROOT of saeculum is sequi- or sec- "follow" where you get the words second, sequence, sequel from.. showing αἰών/ aiōn is dealing with time, an age.

  • The Greek for "world" in Mat 24:3, αἰών aiōn is where you get the Latin, aeon & English, eon which means age, period of time; Greek, αἰών aiōn from Hebrew, עולם iwalam meaning world, long duration, antiquity, ancient.

Latin, aeon is cognate to the Latin word, aevum "age" the root found present in words such as longevity (long age), mediæval (middle age) & evil (bad time) [from Old English, æfe "eve, time" + -ill "bad, malevolent"]

Showing αἰών aiōn, "world" is talking about an age; Hab 2:3.

  • @NegroyIndian That's right brother, Shalam!
