Yes, it is indeed a little boring. And as you can hear, is a mistake to use the pedal that way. It produces something like a background noise...well, very nice playing!
I don't see or hear any evidence that he used the pedal in the Prelude, though it looks like he might use it in the Fugue. Could the background noise be the reverberation from the hall?
It isn't the most interesting piece of music, but his playing is of it is interesting, at least to me. Restrained, but varied within a somewhat limited range, which seems appropriate to Bach, in my opinion.
He is amazing, hes Bach is perfect....lol he looks a little bit as Colin Farrel

I think his interpretation much more better than Richter, Richter played it too fast and Piotr plays it...so elegant !!!
