This is a real gem. Very lucky of you mate. My parents took me on a round the world trip in 1999; we spent 1 month in the states and 2 months in Europe (I'm from Australia). On the trip between JFK and Gatwick I spent 3 hours in the cockpit chatting to the pilots, they were more than happy to have some company up there with them. I miss those days thoroughly.
Time to get the Delorane Just Speed near El Sugundo hill at 88mph and get to 1997 to plane spotting. Airports security is ridiculious today I would warn 9/11 is coming don't beef up security so much that affects the freedom of the people. I want a Delorane and go to the 70's-90's to savor life . Today it's hard to savor life.
The 90's was such a great time to spot for planes. You had the new gen. planes and old gen. planes mixed into one aiport and now you only see high tech fly-by-wire stuff... SAD.
Wow, this video is from 12 years ago and TBIT (Tom Bradley International Terminal) looks almost exactly the same. This brings a lot of history back. TWA, NWA DC-10, MD-11s etc.
