Do you need a dr. order to get a dexa scan? there is a dexa scanner where I work, I could get scanned there I guess, but did you have to go to a dr. to get an order for the scan?

I never heard of this scan either. IT does suck not having health insurance. I have no idea how much one of those would be in are area. I quess I"ll have to keep with my scale that tells me my body fat. Rather than this n

Thats pretty cool. Never heard of it! Awesome that you lost 1% body fat. I think that would be quite some motivation to see your progress as you go rather than guessing at it.

This is very, very cool.  Great job on losing 1% bf. 1% is a lot when you look at overall weight and sounds like a healthy loss. I've looked for one of these in my area and can't find one :(

So how often are you going to get a DEXA scan? My insurance will not pay for one :(

Every 30 days.. I am paying $25 per scan cash with out insurance. If you are doing it for BODY FAT...it is 25 bucks... if it is for bone or anything like that...much more.
