  • Perfection. Gut-wrenchingly beautiful.

  • That was the most beautiful arrangment of Danny Boy I've ever heard.

  • Whoever composed this arrangement was a genius.

  • Probably the most emotional composition I've heard to date. Done so well, and played with so much emotion, just because of the brass factor with the beautiful chords. RIP Pete.

And I want to say thank you to the british film industry for giving me many hours of great movie experience!!!

  • This one always makes me cry. I played this in a brass band with my father sitting next to. We both played the Euphonium...and we both loved this movie...

  • I have always loved this piece and to hear a brass band play it makes me melt inside every time! I am just wondering where I can get ahold of this exact arrangement. I would love to get a copy for my library as well as for my family to play.

  • tenor horns are sometimes called baritone horns across the pond :)

  • why dose new labour hate the working class . cos where not middle class and dont push pens and most of us are white DONT VOTE LABOUR THEY HATE THE WHITE WORKING CLASS

  • @yorkshiretractors if new labour hates the white working class, how much do the Tories hate you?

  • Grimethorpe Colliery Band, you are bloody brilliant.

  • @cweil08

It's a Tenor Horn tuned in Eb.

Beautiful instrument, often played in unison with the Flügel horn.

  • at 00:30 the guy on the left with the glasses, is that a baritone/euphonium or a transition of a french horn? It looks small for a baritone/euphonium.

  • its a euphonium!

  • I watched this movie today and almost cried... such a touching scene and an incredible song. <3

  • @skiwottntottn Let it out, there's no shame.

  • 1:21 to 1:44

    what is that?

  • ..it's british vibrato...:).....

  • bunch of cornets

  • very moving

  • a true pearl of british film-industry.

  • @prolo67 A true master in the making, dont make them like that

  • brass rules! go trombones, trumpets, french horns and euphoniums!

  • and tubas

  • and Cornets!!!

  • @MHSRULES12 and tuba and fluglehorn and tenor horn and cornet and bass trombone and soprano cornet and baritone

  • @MHSRULES12 This is a British Brass band, so no french horn. they have tenor horns, which is basically an Eb Baritone to replace french horns.

  • @90eskimo no you are right there are no french horns but they are replaced by e flat tenor horns and b flat baritones

  • @Emiejg that is basically what i said, the tenor horn is basically an Eb baritone

  • @MHSRULES12

It wouldn't be a true brass band with Trumpets and not Cornets never forget that.

  • @MHSRULES12 french horns aren't in a brass band lol

  • @MHSRULES12 french horns? i am a horn player, but not in a brass band ;) and trumpets for that manner - we play cornets ;)

  • @lemonfruit9 and Tubas

  • @MHSRULES12 You forgot tubas!

  • @MHSRULES12 Don't forget tenor horns! There are no French horns in a British brass band...

    :-)

  • @MHSRULES12
