Safe. However, runner could have done a better job by *not* sliding. You can see him slow down somewhat to set up the slide. He should have just sprinted across the far corner of the plate, out of range of the catcher.

Umpire is out of position. This is a swipe tag from right field, which usually means a swipe tag is coming, which this was. If this umpire is 3rd base extended, hed have a great view. Here, he cant see at what point the tag is applied.
