I used to have a Wiesmann GT. I had lot of technical problems and very bad fittings of the carossery ("handmade") with this car. The driving experience shows a poor handling (f.e. brutal oversteering, tractiondifficulties). The Wiesmann car should be used only on dry summer days, because it gets very dangerous on wet grounds. At least ... Wiesmann are - comparing to other cars in this price region - low quality cars by far not worth the money they cost. Sorry to say that.

I do not have any experience with the GTMF5V10, but I´ve driven the BMW M5 with that engine. A superb Engine ! Installed this in that WiemannGTMF5 should cause a very lot of traction problems ... even so on the Autobahn while going back to the 3rd or 4th gear and pushing then the gaspedal to the ground. ;-) Try a test-drive on a rainy street to image ... I´m shure the MF5 has the also the same technical and optical problems like the MF4. ... Fortsetzung folgt.

there a a lot of alternatives in the price region of a MF5V10... Porsche Turbo, Audi R8V10, Aston Martin Vantage V12, the Ferraris o Lamborghinis. Not everyone might be as fast as the WiesmanV10, but I´m sure you would even have more fun in a Dodge Viper or a Corvette Z06. A car which makes you angry and disapointed because of quality-problems (endless series of inspections) is not fun.

You might ask yourself, what the people in Dülmen told me about my critics: "this is a handmade car and we are every day in progress of work making it better" (i had nearly 100 Points of technical problems, carossery-fittings etc. ... just look at the "Spaltmasse" for a first impression !!! :-)

the MF5 is ugly as hell, a big step backward by wiesmann in comparison to the older and elegant MF3. Well at least i know now for whom the "new wiesmann" is build. The monte carlo, monaco-type guys.

If i remember correctly (as this is one of my ultimate dream cars)it must be about equal, they both show figures of 3,9s to a 100, but the turbo has more torque and 4wd, so maybe in a short drag race i think the turbo might win by a small margin, however a race up to maxspeed, my money wud b on this baby! :) Such an extreme swedish accent btw XD Apart from that: great vid!!

Well the M5/6 V10 is one of the most amazing engines to come out of Germany, especially when it comes to performance and reliability.

This car is pretty small and light, too much power could take away the daily driver aspect of the car.

I'd like to see it race an M6.

I thought the Wiesmann MF3 was a nice car, classic sports car looks on modern and reliable foundations.

This however (while I'm sure it performs really well) just doesn't look quite right to my eyes. Seems a bit too disproportionate and a bit over the top.

The first generation of these use to have the 4.0 V-8 from the old M5.

Actually no, they went with the V-8 from the M5s, making 400+ horsepower due to different engine management and better breathing than the normal m5.

But i bet that 6 cylinder from the E43 would have fit in that engine bay as well, although its taller than the V-8.
