The first time he came over I extended my hand and said it was nice talking to you and good day. He shook my hand, thats when he held his son, I went back inside. When they came back, eventually I just got in my car, they stood around and shrugged at each other as if to say.. Well.. we tried. When I say they blocked me, it was more of a WAIT I'm not done talking to you sorta thing. It was not aggressive, just kinda.. took me off guard, I was already taken off guard.
You mean when they came back? I did not get them to leave, after the whole no moral thing I was disgusted and just passed them and went to my car and left.
Assholes? Possibly. Misguided? Extremely. I mean, I've never cried because someone else didn't think the same as I do, attaching this whole "eternal damnation" thing is such an emotional con job on the people who believe in it. Sounds like you're in a scary neighborhood, do you live near many churches?
Funny you did this video, I had two groups of assholes come to my door selling God this morning. First time I've ever had any religious people show up since I've lived here, and I got two groups of them in one day. Is this national annoy an atheist day, or something?
You seen enough of my videos to know I'm not making an effort to cause people to feel pain about their religion. But I'm strongly of the opinion that I am allowed to declare loudly and proudly how I see the universe, and occasionally I do so. If someone feels hurt by that, I just have to say - not my intention and if you feel that way - you do.
On the other hand, if people try to force feed me their beliefs I will come back very strong on them. They've crossed a line and the have it coming.
I find myself doing that from time to time but I try not to because I know they already have a negative view of atheists. So I try not to play into their prejudices. I assume part of them wants you to be an asshole to them so it can confirm their beliefs.

Yeah, I dont think they are assholes either. They are doing what they think is right. There are quite a few churches in my area yes.
