Your Antenna song is SO damn catchy, I've had it on repeat all day, despite the Apple apologist lyrics :P.

Just because you haven't dropped a call doesn't mean others (see myself and the 17,000 people who have reported reception issues to Apple in the last month alone) aren't having problems with it. It's not the end of the world, the phone is an absolutely joy, but Job's hubris and dismissive attitude towards afflicted users is really the primary reason why this issue exploded in the media.

@leetleo So all those other smart phones out there didn't have a firestorm whipped up about them in the press because those CEO's were humble and cared more about the customer? I don't think so. RIM, HTC, Nokia, etc wouldn't give you a free case unless you became a cellular company exec. And those same guys would never be on record saying return your phone.

This got whipped up for 2 reasons - Apple has been dominating the news and industry with innovative solutions that actually work

If Jobs had said "Apple is hard at work investigating this issue" and "we care about making every customer happy" from the start, instead of denying the issue and arrogantly dismissing customer concerns (until Consumer Reports called them out), things would have never gotten this crazy. Every single response from Apple up until today has esentially been "non issue, deal with it.", and that is the type of response that pisses customers off, hence, news at 11.

@leetleo I don't think Apple ever said its not an issue. This isn't a TV show - not every problem can be solved in 30 minutes. They've been working hard on it for 22 days according to the press conference. I believe them.

Any other companies products would have to had killed a few people before they would have even acknowledged the problem. I've owned lots of mediocre products in the past and have never had a company respond like Apple has here.
