I recently got to view "Bathers at Asnieres" at the National Gallery in London, and I must say that I was reduced to tears. Not only is Georges Seurat my favourite artist ever, but he has a tremendous ability to focus on you, the viewer, and draw you into the smallest blob of paint he ever applied to canvas. You become one with his works, and that is something that shall forever transcend what he set out to portray.
