I want to thank all active duty and retired military. I am married to a retired Navy man and am proud of it. I haven't gone through what others have gone through with troops goin to Iraq and Afganistan but I have been through my husband leaving for months at a time and a whole year of maybe seeing him for 3 months worth. It's hard but he did it for all of us in the U.S.
Our military, past and present, is sacred ground to me. God bless them for they knew that freedom isn't free! All gave some....... Some gave all. As a Navy Vet from the 70's I want to thank all who are serving, or who have served. This old "anchor clanker" salutes you all!

I was lucky enough to meet this gentleman a few years ago when I booked his concert for the club I worked for. I was never a great fan until I met him. He was absolutely the nicest country star I ever met and it was an honor to meet him. One of the band members was a little obnoxious and Chris put him in his place real quick and made him apologize. I've been a fan ever since. I got my picture made with him, which he autographed, and it's kept hanging on my wall. What a gentle-man!

Nice version of the Springsteen song. It alludes to a guy trying to pick up a girl in a bar. I am not sure what all the patriotic zeal is about. I am Vet from the Vietnam era. You don't know Chris' work if you don't own a few of his self produced casettes from the mid to late 70s that he personally sold at rodeos. Give a listen to a song titled "Double Diamond." It is about a ranch not ski slopes. He was great.

i am heading back for a 2nd tour and i believe in everything i fight for including my family and the FREEDOM OF SPEECH unfortunatley it gives some people the right to say stupid shit that shouldnt be said we fight for all of you to have what you have and so you can be at home every night with your families we dont have that luxury and if you dont like it then you are not a true american and should not be in OUR country!!!

The US did little to nothing about Terrorism in general(no nationality or religion in particular) for years while most other countries received attack after attack. Then in '01 we got attacked ourselves and finally decided to do something about it. Now, all of a sudden the US is the bad guy. There is No Way the normal, peaceful residents of Iraq and Afghanistan would ever want to be run by these types of people, they simply don't have the means to do anything about it.

Not really. The video isn't related to "war". It is in support of our military men & women, because without them we wouldn't have the freedoms we have today. Including freedom of speech. I for one don't believe in a New York minute that the terrorists will just stop & go away. I appreciate everything our service men & women have sacrificed for their country. Besides, the song 'War' was origionally sung by Edwin Starr & written by Norman Whitfield in 1969. Springsteen did a rendition. Semper Fi

I was lucky enough to meet this gentleman a few years ago when I booked his concert for the club I worked for. I was never a great fan until I met him. He was absolutely the nicest country star I ever met and it was an honor to meet him. One of the band members was a little obnoxious and Chris put him in his place real quick and made him apologize. I've been a fan ever since. I got my picture made with him, which he autographed, and it's kept hanging on my wall. What a gentle-man!
