i threw one and used it as a horn if you guys want to try that out i cut it and made one end the area that i blow into and one area the exhale larger cone part
I made a teapot out of it! but i did not put it upright, i left it laying down like a donut and then made a smaller donut that became the handle, which had a hole at the top to pour liquid into... really visualize this... alot of people at the art show thought it was something else.......
Sorry I made a mistake! Ref Civil War Ring Jugs. Crafting North Carolina a web site, 250 yrs of Clay is down the page. A great interactive site on Pottery history in the US for Kids, Teachers, Pottery History buffs.

Have you ever done the decal transfer onto pots before final firing ? I would love to see a tutorial on it. My decals burn off ln firing.

A very old technique, Ref Civil War ring jugs, 200 years of clay work, crafts of North Carolina,
Lynn Craven, ring jugs, sell for over $600.00, may seem cliche, sure fun to make.
There is one listed $1150.00 on antique site,
no date no maker.

May be cliché, but for now it escapes me how you would make a teapot or a vase out of that donut. (???)
Would you do that? And yes, then you can smash them :)

I appreciate this. I've tried to do this once or twice but a few aspects were eluding me. This demo should help me figure it out.
Thanks!
