  • Shame on me, but I just found this out a couple of weeks ago. This English version is the one written in the Philippine Constitution, together with the Spanish and Tagalog ones.

  • The English version was the one that preceeded the Tagalog version. Its the only version allowed by the Americans from 1920-1946. The Tagalog version was only in existance since 1956

This anthem's original is Spanish and used only from 1898-1903

  • Nice

  • it makes me going crazy.!! haha

  • project namin to! salamat sa upload!

  • ang bilis....

  • Thank you

  • BAD BOY !!!!!

  • sheer rocks

  • The translation isn't really wrong, it's just outdated. It was the translation in 1938.

  • wrong translation!

  • @spacexplorer100 well i just saw the lyrics on the internet and well, you can't have everything :p

  • @Rhymis0306 still wrong , make it right

  • @spacexplorer100 Tagalog cannot be translated to English word for word...it would mean otherwise..

  • one douchebag isn't Filippino.

  • This was the song long ebfore it was turned into Tagalog. It started with the Spanish(it was just instrumental no lyrics), then when the Americans came they made English lyrics for it meant to be sung during troop or governemnt marches and wars. Now we have the Tagalog version as the official one.

  • @mercylack no man..its was tagalog at first..they just translated it..a filipino wrote it..

  • @predator8893 You are so wrong in so many ways... try looking it up in history... It was President Diosdado Macpagal who made the Tagalog version the official version. There were so many version of this for every single dialect in this country before that Law was passed. The Original was in Spanish, then the Americans turned it to English during their colonization of the Philippines. Some provinces in the Philippines still sing the English version actually then they Sing it in Tagalog.
