Both teams were very well coached & the players performed with true grit & discipline. One team was destined to win Silver & one Gold. The fact that those two teams were so well matched against each other is what makes hockey exciting. There isn't much excitment in watching a really lop sided game. Congradulations to both teams for an extrodinary preformance. Today they are all champions.

23 shots on goal and 4 legitimate goals went in past brodeur. They set up and that is why they got the shots they wanted while we didnt get the shots we wanted. Crosbys redirection when he crashed the net through the five hole was the best play we had in my opinion. I just honestly feel like we played like crap that day and if we keep just holding on to saying it was a mistake that we lost we aren't going to improve anything just blaming one vice.

Dominating the neutral zone doesn't get you goals when USA displayed some of the best recovering I have ever seen and then half our shots were blocked before they got to the net. This is what I am saying, Our offense was taking bad shots, their D was scrambling and desperate and we didn't look hungry til about the 3rd period. It is no fact that we outplayed them or else we would have won, we failed to setup and take good shots, while they scored pretty much all of their goals off of set plays.

I am simply saying that when you have a loss like this one, you can't just whine all day and say we should have won, we should be focused on trying to fix what we did wrong (which was alot) in the game against USA so that we are prepared for Russia. Because we lost fair and square. And when one person on the team fails the whole team fails.
I am allowed to reply to you as much as I want. Also, one last thing. I think the D line let down Brodeur more than Brodeur let down the team. When one person fails that means the team is failing. Especially when that one person is going to hold goalie records for years to come. He may have not had his best game but we need to fix the people in front of him as well. No team wants to lose a gold medal game. Both teams played with their hearts out.
Both teams were very well coached & the players performed with true grit & discipline. One team was destined to win Silver & one Gold. The fact that those two teams were so well matched against each other is what makes hockey exciting. There isn't much excitment in watching a really lop sided game. Congradulations to both teams for an extrodinary preformance. Today they are all champions.

@crovechkin101, I was watching the entire time thank you. It isn't about what team has won more it is about which team has won most recently. They also beat Switzerland by a larger margin then us. And you are saying that beating Switzerland by a larger margin, beating us in World Juniors, and beating us most recently, is all just one giant fluke? I for one actually respect the USA team because they have to fight to get respect our team just gets respect that we obviously haven't done enough for.

My entire room was quiet with frustrated people. We knew going into it that we were going to be cocky because we were favored so hugely and that we weren't going to be prepared and we were going to lose. And that is what happened. USA was tired of being the underdog so they worked their ass off and beat us.

The have better team cohesion. Switzerland kept us to a shootout, while USA got 3-1 on them. So no I believe the stats you just presented prove my case.

I, for one, am angry because of the hype of our Olympic team this year, and then that sorry display against the Americans, but it was a TEAM effort, if we were truly an undisputedly better team, we would have won the game, that is what winning the game means. Team USA was leading in shots going into the 3rd period by one or so, and then we got desperate. And at the end we were tripping over ourselves and took bad shots just hoping one went in. Their team was better. Kane and Parise are players that shouldn't be overlooked just because they have a good goalie.

23 shots on goal and 4 legitimate goals went in past brodeur. They set up and that is why they got the shots they wanted while we didnt get the shots we wanted. Crosbys redirection when he crashed the net through the five hole was the best play we had in my opinion. I just honestly feel like we played like crap that day and if we keep just holding on to saying it was a mistake that we lost we aren't going to improve anything just blaming one vice.

How am I going off topic at all? You are the one that wasn't watching apparently because when I was watching the announcers kept repeating how we kept failing to get good shots off. Sure we had some good ones, but they had some good ones too, and theirs converted and ours didn't. Because most of their shots wer GOOD shots that challenged Brodeur. Seriously, I would take 23 good shots over 45 shots that just reach the net anyday. I hope Luongo does better but he isn't the only change we need.

ok listen kid just because I misheard something an ANNOUNCER said while i was WATCHING THE GAME with my ENTIRE FAMILY doesn't mean I don't know hockey. Maybe he was referring to a certain time period in which the USA hit a stride where they were playing extremely well and outshot us during a certain time period I am just saying what I heard. Dominating the neutral zone doesn't get you goals when USA displayed some of the best recovering I have ever seen and then half our shots were blocked before they got to the net. This is what I am saying, Our offense was taking bad shots, their D was scrambling and desperate and we didn't look hungry til about the 3rd period. It is no fact that we outplayed them or else we would have won, we failed to setup and take good shots, while they scored pretty much all of their goals off of set plays.

I am simply saying that when you have a loss like this one, you can't just whine all day and say we should have won, we should be focused on trying to fix what we did wrong (which was alot) in the game against USA so that we are prepared for Russia. I am allowed to reply to you as much as I want. Also, one last thing. I think the D line let down Brodeur more than Brodeur let down the team. When one person fails that means the team is failing. Especially when that one person is going to hold goalie records for years to come. He may have not had his best game but we need to fix the people in front of him as well. We can't just plug in Luongo and think everything is going to go differently.

No one is bashing brodeur ....but his game yesterday was WEIRD. IT WAS UNLIKE HIM!....he made a lot of nervous moves. He even admitted it. The coaches even said it man...we are not bashing him just stating he played poorly which is true ...2 goals of yours were actually his fault...he came out n swatted the puck to u guys which he never ussually does and he slid for an unnecessary poke check....if he saved those we would have won 3-2 cause your empty netter would not have happened.

Just like in world juniors canada won the first game and then lost when it mattered.
