That DJ (Rob Jones) is brilliant, and he has seen shit that none of us would see, and through several decades. If he wrote a book about it I would buy it (I like the way he phrases everything...brilliant!!).

i like this documentary but they talk about glam alot , traditional alot , but they hardly talkabout the BIGGEST metal movement of them all and thats the thrash metal movement . thrash changed the way music of any genre was done but they get what 5 minute refrence

I have a pal that idolises Sabbath and totally derides my love of Judas Priest. Ultimately, we are bound by our love of the Heavy Stuff. A Metal crowd is the best place on earth to be and the people are positive and respectful. If you fall someone helps you up. If you gotta get out of the pit people let you through. I love it.

@BitchinMitchin I know what you saying. The intensity of the pit can increase with the intensity of the music. So too, I guess, the level of bigotry as the musical niche narrows. I must say, though, that my metal and Hardcore experiences over the last 20 years have been almost all positive. From Slayer to Fugazi, Sepultura to Iron Maiden (and 1000 other club level and support bands in between, names long forgotten) It's been a lot of fun.
@NGARIKItv I've only been to 1 concert, and it was amazing. I would love to go to more, but I'm only 15. My parents also won't drive me there. But when I get a car, I plan on going to every metal show around.
