  • Doesn't вы мало думаете mean 'you think much', and вы не мало думаете mean 'you don't think much'? Or i'm i just wayyyy too tired to think straight?

Btw thank you for this :D Now i can make fun of my sister's husband without him knowing what i'm saying even though it's completely true :D lol. :P Thanks for taking your time to make these videos! :P

  • Only watched 2 vids and I love you already!

  • Your voice is really good. Have you thought of sining as a career? Thanks for posting this again much of it makes sense finally someone knows how to explain via YouTube :)

  • @JesusGodHolySpirit3 Thank you. I try to avoid sinning in my career, but in this world we live in, it's not always easy...

  • Thank you so much this is so awesome and makes much sense :) I never knew no is but lol... Awesome video God blesss you.. Are you in USA, or some other country besides Russia?

  • @JesusGodHolySpirit3 I'm in another country. All its paths are peace.

  • Is there any difference between мало и немного?

  • @SoGladForTheMadness6 There's a little, but not a lot.

  • @usenetposts Haha! I got it... You are a great teacher by the way. You are my Ancient Greek teacher share teaching styles which really connect with me. If you have any more vids, I'd watch all of them...

  • @EimiTheou You might well be biting off more than you can chew there, friend, as I have about one thousand one hundred and something vids on YT.

  • bonjour, Monsieur!

  • You have a brilliant way of teaching, thank you so much for posting these! Finally! someone who actually explains sentence structure in a logical way!

  • It was good having the lyrics to the song so I could join in... don't know what most of it means, but still... :)

  • you sir are a great man teaching great lessons, this is the sort of stuff a highly paid teacher would teach me. Spasiba

  • You have completely inconvenienced me sir, I am now pissed.

  • @mikematij2 Oh well. It doesn't matter.

  • @usenetposts I wil never be able to get my two seconds back... all I have left is to leave my grievances on this youtube page. I now weep... no I'm joking, thank you for uploading, very helpful. I feel like I'm in a college classroom because of the length.... which is good because sometimes too much rapid internet info does not stick, if you know what I mean.

  • @mikematij2 Do you wanna learn Russian or not?

  • @usenetposts ya thats why im watching your videos they are helpful, so thankyou

  • PLease, can i use ur videos link in my facebook?

  • @Qaynana Sure, like I said before, as long as it's not making you money and you acknowledge and link back to me, you are welcome to use them.

  • It is very strange to never actually meet someone but just from a few videos they make that you can say, with certainty, that you like them and respect both their intelligence and sense of humour. Viktor you are amazing, your language course is excellent and it is a pity we will probably never meet. Anyway i am a British student of the Russian language living in Japan. Thanks for providing me with both intellectual stimulation and a lot of laughs!!!!

  • @adept77 Its russian language is good, because people of socialist states Eastern Europe compulsorily trained in Russian at schools. As Russian was a international language lands of Warsaw Pact. People talked in language many years. Till Lindemann from band "Rammstein" . Has sung and not one, and some songs in russian for Rammstein, it from GDR, he remembers russian a little language

  • Very good my dear uncleContinueOur hearts are with youBay

  • Certain things are hard for certain brains. I had to watch this three times before I got it. I'm proud to say that Hulliganov is a pal and contributor to my online show:)

  • Ya znau mnogo Russki

  • Hello Viktor :D

When you are giving Practise sentances such as "Я много думаю но ты мало думаете.", is it absolutely necessary to have the Verb following the Adverb?

Thank you for your time; your videos are excellent! I hope you are your wife are well :D

    Том

  • We thank you for the lesson, the joke and, especially, Puskin's poem. Well done.

  • Victor rules! Learning Russian really is fun! menya nravitsa etot oochitel i ooroki.

  • Tebe takzhe? Otlichno. Vsem nratitsya!

  • this is one of my favorites =] i am quite the fan x3

  • I noticed that on some of the sentences you had the adverbs before the verb and in other senteces you had it after. Is that interchangeable at all times?

  • It is flexible. It depends on what you want to emphasise. There are various points of stress in a sentence, especially the beginning and the end, but an adjective may not be the thing you want to stress in a sentence. The general delaying of adverbs, as in English, is not done. The default position is before the verb not after it.

  • The use of and is very confusing, it wil take me a long time to get used to know what one to use, i will have to speak really slowly so i make sure im saying everything right.

  • so а is sort of like or? in a way?

  • In what context? In French you would say "a la mode de la/du" and this can be contracted to "a la/au".

  • Great, thanks, wow, I have to memorize Я Вас Любил for my Russian class and this was a big help and very interesting as well.

  • OK. Regards to your teacher.

  • ocen priyatno

  • PREKRASNO! I love You!! :-)

  • I´m all the way concentrated, but can´t wait for the song and joke of the end !!.

Its so great! And the Making and your performance are excellent!

I´ll stick to it and already do advance quickly i think! Thanks!

    Greetings from germany!

PS im study to become a teacher and I know that you are doing a great great job! Congrats and respect!

  • spasibo!

  • What a beautiful singing voice you have.

  • Many thanks!

  • He has funny accent when speaks russian. Either he lives abroad for some time or confuses while switching between english and russian

  • he does it on purpose, he speaks english with almost no accent

  • i wrote "russian"

  • Is that a joke?

  • Your lessons have given me a huge boost in confidence, so many of the Russians I have spoken to tell me learning it will be so difficult. It has been difficult but your lessons are supercharging the many bits and pieces I have learned so far. I feel like I will really learn to speak Russian properly and with confidence. Again spaciba!!!

  • ooo again muchas grasias amigo is very nice of you to give your time to make this videos buena suerte everyday i learn something different grasias !!!!

  • It's "Gracias"

  • You're very welcome.

  • spasibo.

  • *harder

  • I'm portuguese and I like russian. I thought it would be easier!

  • lol did you now...

  • Thank you, you are an natural teacher. It is very generous of you to give your time in this way. I wish I had you years ago in high school!

  • I love your videos! Knowing Spanish the lesson was pretty easy to grasp and I actually became more confident in learning Russian! I really hope you don't stop making videos, they're fantastic! I've learned more in a week with your videos than I've learned in a month with other methods (I don't have the money for a tutor and Russian isn't offered at my school)! Keep up the great work!

  • hahahaha

    loved that girl dialog :)

  • Thank you for this! The verbs you are teaching, and the order of what you are teaching is perfect! I like the funny inserts of graphics and jokes too :)

  • Thank you. I'm a poliglotta, speak Italian,German,Spanish, Emglish and learning Russian.... In a world full of ignorants at least there is some hope out there. Grazie mille.

  • Wow, this is finally an answer to my questions which I so often have. Jana, the Russian girl who is no longer with me (I think she found another man after oo menya net deneg) would never teach me about all of these things. Russki cheloveki est ploha problems with teaching usually. But this is educating me more than any software which I have had currently (I still have a Russian book and I have audio cds) but you are the very best in any form and fashion. It's amazing. I wish I had money to give!

  • I wouldn't accept it anyway, but if you feel like it you can give some to charity in my intention.

  • u look like a lot to Alexey Mitrofanov (deputy)

  • That's what my sister in law says.

  • ist there those same lessons but instead in english in spanish??

  • If there are, I don't know about it. I have no objections if someone wants to dub them in Spanish.

  • that would be cool ...

    english is grEat anyway ...

    SAludos!!! :)

  • Great job.

I hope I may make a little request. I wonder if it is possible for you to put the song into .mp3 format, and the lyric into a .doc file, and put it into the File section of the Google group that you have. The song in mp3 format would be really useful for learning the song.

You really have a powerful voice and you sing it very clearly, much much better than the original.

    Thans.

  • Well, in due course I will do that, but I always leave the embedding open, which means if you want an mp3 of anything I've done, you only need two things - keepvid dot com and riva encoder software.

The same applies to anyone's audio if they haven't requested the disabling of embedding for their video. I have it enabled on every video on my channel.

  • TAHANK YOU FOR THE VIDEOS. SPASIVA

  • Hey, could you do some videos on how to do accents? I think your Russian and Australian accents are impeccable!!

  • Hmmn. I could try to, but in fact that is not that easy. The key thing is to experiment with different set-up of the mouth shape as you talk.

  • It's not quite like that for Polish. You can include the pronoun for emphasis, but in the case of 3rd person pronouns used for formal address they would generally not be omitted. For example, the imperative "czekaj" "wait" to a person you are on ty with. To emphasis you can say 'ty czekaj tu, a ja pojde tam'.

  • But the "Pan" form will be "Niech Pan czeka", and omission of Pan is not an option. Niech Pan bedzie instead of niech Pan jest shows a shift to the future in the conjugation of "to be" here, which doesn't apply to other verbs.

  • You don't know how *GRATEFUL* I am to you for doing this. I really, really wanted to learn Russian and my Russian teacher had to quit (drive was too far for her). Now I can learn at home!

Thank you again. I know that this was a lot of work. Do you accept 'tips'? Do you have a tip jar?

  • thanks for doing this! it makes it possible for me to learn russian. thank you very much

  • I have a question; is it completely necessary to say "YA ne znayu"? Or is it alright to say "ne znayu" without Ya?

I'm curious because in Spanish, it would be "YO no se", but we sometimes just say "No se" without Yo.

  • It is OK to leave out the subject pronoun in less formal speech in Russian, but don't overdo it. In Polish on the other hand, it is standard to leave out the subject pronoun even in formal speech unless particularly emphasising the pronoun.

  • I see, thanks!

  • hahahaha what is it with and girls hahaha ;p whos the girl hahaha ;p the lesson was interesting but i have much to learn

  • I luv your method of teaching!!! It keeps me interested and wanting to learn more!!!

  • Hi "professor"! i love your lessons so far; you make a very difficult language (for English speakers like myself) seem obtainable and clear! You have a calmness and clarity about it which is so great to find! Thanks a million! I hope to see you at Lesson 100 one day! Haha! :)))))))))))))))))

  • Hi, I love your lessons! I "discovered" Russian recently (a long story)and thought I'd like to learn it. I looked up the alphabet and glanced at the grammar and said to myself, "Darn,it's DIFFICULT!" I got a teach-yourself-Russian book, but I really needed help with the pronunciation! My native language has a lot of vowels and no "zh's"! Then I checked Youtube, and there you were! How many lessons are now available on Youtube?

Once more, thank you, love the jokes, love the songs!!!

  • Right now there are 16 lessons, which means about twenty videos as some lessons wouldn't fit onto one video. I will probably end up doing between thirty and forty of them.

  • Your way of teaching is easy to learn step by step, and it is interesting to learn a song and joke too, kind of relief from learning. How different is Ukrainian than Russian? I've wondered.. :) thanks for posting these videos very excellente

  • There's no language as close to English as Ukrainian is to Russian. You could say it is like comparing Dutch and German, or Spanish and Portuguese. If you knew Russian and Polish, you would already have a reading understanding of Ukrainian. I can understand about 95% of what I read in Ukrainian, but I can only understand about half when I listen to it spoken.

  • Hi!

I really love your lessons, it is hard to learn foirgn language in anyway, becaus it is very difficult to teach all the important things in that way that the student will get it. Well with your lessons everything is explaned in the proper way, so I can just say THANK YOU. Your method is the best and actually russian is not that hard, regarding that I am a Slav too! Pease continue ...

    Nina

  • Many thanks Nina! Do keep watching!

  • thanks sir

  • So I am studying independently & appreciate your lessons all the more. BTW please search Youtube for Don Williams - 2 of Your'e my best friend.

  • OK. well I plan to do a pretty comprehensive course, but bear with me as far as the time taken is concerned. I'm also looking out on the karaoke binary newsgroup for his backing tracks.

  • Prof. I did commend your lessons to my few classmates and tutor. Class 1 ended and sadly class 2 was undersubscribed & cancelled.

  • Thank you, Prof. Huliganov, for your wonderful lesson.

  • Thanks again. Great stuff. Learning interesting things that weren't covered in classes.

  • Great. Hopefully these things will compliment what teachers do and not just get on their nerves. Does anyone else in your class watch these videos?

  • nice one, moi droog

  • Ya ne znayo no tee znaesh, but I'm learning thanks to you!

Ya znayo ya nado pracktika (not sure if that made sense or not.)

Hope you are feeling better, can't wait fot the next episode :o)

  • I'm about 90% now, and have stopped taking medicine. The structure you need would be "Ya znayu, chto mne praktika nuzhna" but we'll get on to that.

  • Oops! Thanks for the correction, I thought it probably wasn't right just after posting it XD

Glad to hear you're geting better!

  • I like it. it helps me alot.
