Instead of Inside-Grip EZ-Bar Curl I use Dumbbell curls and instead of Double-Dumbbell Preacher Curl I use Seated Dumbbell Curl w/ supination. So will It still have the same effect? Pursing your lips while breathing as scott demonstrates is not as efficiant as whole mouth breathing. opening your mouth to breath can be up to 6.8% more effective in bringing oxygen to the muscles and generally to the body
@nexisras This may be true but a lot of people have a problem where they naturally hold their breath during sets because of the strain so it helps to force the breathing

Hey Scott. Wouldn't it be better to do the "EZ Curl bar exercice" with an actual straight bar? I feel like the EZ Curl Bar actually makes it more easier, making it less effective in my opinion.

@ThaGenius101 that is solely up to genetics, when i was 13 i was 6 ft and i wanted to be at least 6'8 unfortunately i'm 16 now and 6'3 and im still the shortest guy in my family, it all depends on people and their genetics, maybe i might shoot up another couple inches but i doubt i will grow much more.

Scott i have a problem with my bicep,,,,When i do bicep exercises i doenst really burn in my bicep only in my forearm and i am doing good form no cheating..And my bicep seems to lack in size compared to the rest of my body..
@jokleogsko dude i'm not a true expert, but i guess that the problem is in ur forearm. Because forearm helps bicep too ! In ru case, i guess that ur bicep is way stronger then ur forearm so u need to solve that by adding alot of forearm exercices so it becomes as strong as ur arm muscles !

I'm a singer and I notice your speaking voice seems a lil tired/strained...I recommend taking a voice lesson so you can project, speak on the breath with more ease, and use your natural resonance to keep your voice as strong as your other muscles ;P People who talk a lot for their work can benefit from it...by the way, I like when you use your New England accent (I'm from Maine).
Just finishe this workout and, it is a great on.....I added some heavy forearm sets in-between each bicep set....and now my arms feel like jello....lol

@ArianHodania On that first exercise I believe he's using a fixed-weight easy-curl bar that weighs 70 pounds total, not 70 on each end. I suspect Scott uses less weight than he could, when he's demonstrating the exercises, because he needs to pump & keep talking & move on to the next one & the next w/o getting even slightly out of breath. Since he's asking you to do 3 sets of 8-12 reps with only a 60-90-second rest between sets & then immediately move on, even 70 lbs. is not exactly shoddy.

@zkjgrty "As much weight as you can" means as much weight as will allow you to do 3 sets of 8 to 12 reps with only a 60 to 90 second rest between sets. It's okay to do fewer reps on the second and third set, as long as you do at least 8 on every set. So if you can do 12 reps on the first set, you'll probably be able to do the next two sets of 8-12 reps with the same weight. If you can do 12 reps on all 3 sets, try more weight next time.

its because ur forearms are stronger and they do more work then ur bicep.
what iam doing rite now is iam using less weight and trying to focus more on my left side.

@ArianHodania On that first exercise I believe he's using a fixed-weight easy-curl bar that weighs 70 pounds total, not 70 on each end. I suspect Scott uses less weight than he could, when he's demonstrating the exercises, because he needs to pump & keep talking & move on to the next one & the next w/o getting even slightly out of breath. Since he's asking you to do 3 sets of 8-12 reps with only a 60-90-second rest between sets & then immediately move on, even 70 lbs. is not exactly shoddy.

When you mention "As heavy as you can", I can only manage to squeeze 5-6reps with the most weight I can, is this ok or should I lighten it a bit?

@zkjgrty "As much weight as you can" means as much weight as will allow you to do 3 sets of 8 to 12 reps with only a 60 to 90 second rest between sets. It's okay to do fewer reps on the second and third set, as long as you do at least 8 on every set. So if you can do 12 reps on the first set, you'll probably be able to do the next two sets of 8-12 reps with the same weight. If you can do 12 reps on all 3 sets, try more weight next time.

Hey Scott, Whenever I do the tricep exercise especially the v bar, I feel it more pumping in my left tricep than the right, why is that? and what can I do? this always happens when I do any tricep exercise.

@jjvvkk use a dumbell instead of a barbell. That will make sure that both arms are pumping the same weight.
