The cool thing is that Metallica finished off their set. Jame's guitar tech knew every song in their set note for note, so James just rocked the mic like old days. Of course there was a huge delay with James being in hospital (also the fact that they were touring with Guns N' Roses didn't help) but they still stuck it out.

I gained so much more respect for metallica after reading this.

The sound of the melting strings is creepy. Also, did anyone hear James talking about that incident? He said the neck of the guitar he was playing was natural, meaning not painted, and the area where his fretting hand covered the neck was normal looking, but the other areas were scorched black. He's lucky to have survived 3,200 degrees of heat and flames and look like a normal human being.

Back in time James was fortunately playing this song with a double neck guitar, I think it saves him because this guitar is 2 times bigger than a single neck guitar so his body didn't get entirely burnt.
