  • Holy cow! Very loud on that train!

  • Que de souvenir.

  • well element 42 comes out on 13:00

  • well there was 80-040 but it was retired and puted as a restaurant car in an party

  • yeah it would be sad if the stm replaced the mr73 but they wont till they get very old like the mr63

  • That's the first time I listen to a Jeumont making five notes instead of the popular three. Wonderful!

  • its gonna be a sad day when the STM replaces the MR-63

  • No it wont, it will be a sad day the the mr-73 gets replaced

  • ya deffinatly i love the MR-73's there reaaly cool

  • Why now the green line does not do the noise anymore?

  • There are only two elements that make that sound and they are in the middle of the train sets. They are elements 041 (81-581, 80-041, 81-582) and 042 (81-583, 80-042, 81-584). You have to be lucky to find one... ;)

  • I lived in Montreal for 20 years, now I live in Toronto and I really miss this sound. It's the only manifestation of old time jeumont (current chopper) that I know and it's still running on some of the oldest rolling stock in the world for subways. Montreal's metro system was truly built for the future in many ways

  • take that on when i go to a wwe in montréal

Langelier to Berry/UQUAM Berry/UQUAM to Bell center :)

  • Love it! I couldn't understand the Quebecois though, except for "OUUAAAIS".

  • Where is this subway?

  • Montreal, Quebec

  • Gracias. Es muy similar al de la ciudad de México.

  • which direction is it.

  • Honoré-Beaugrand

  • Does anyone know the best time and the best way to find the Jeumont train?

  • Go on line 1 and look for it...

  • d'accord merci! :)

  • what;s newer? mr-63 or mr-73. because in the ad of 1976 i saw a mr-73.

  • umm.

    Mr-73 = newer

    MR-63 = older

  • why is is the startup like that. this video is now in my favourites.

  • Anyone in MTL ever ride the LA red line or the Washington "Rohr" train? They make the nicest sounds. From entering the station to Air Conditioning motors.

Just type "Rohr Train" and "Los Angeles Red Line" and check for yourself

  • heh. the Rohr train makes the same sounds as the Montreal AMT Deux-Montagnes train. Its the electrical acceleration and yeah the noise makes it sound so fast.

  • Yeah, true, but they are not quite the same as the ROHR train or the LA trains, but they are similar. The 2 Mountain trains for what I remember, they are far more quiet than the trains in Washington DC trust me. I dont know if you ever ride the DC subway, but they are much louder "electric acceleration" than the 2 mountain trains

  • ah. yes it does seem louder but the sound is quite similar. anyways thanks for pointing out the Rohr trains.

  • cool, that sound is like synonymous with montreal

  • Oh my GOD that's loud!!!! :) Wonderful though!!

  • Well it's a part of the once-complete Jeumont experimental train..

Everymetro train has three sets of three cars..

Because the Jeumont could not be driven in Automatic mode they separated the sets and put them ni the middle of non-jeumont trains

Element 41 is one of the three-car sets..

  • That's a BIGGG "douuu Douuu DOUUUUU "

  • It truely is a loud DO DO DOOOOO!! ahaha.. I love it, i want it as the ringer for my text messages on my phone.

  • OMG that's a great idea! If only I can figure out how to do that one lol.

  • Excellent sound! #41 has the loudest startup sound of any metro car!
