pretty awesome scene with colt, laurinatis, jenkins and freeman after the game there.....i was down in austin for the OSU/UT game in 2006 and it was a blast.....best of luck to the longhorns this season.....i think they have a great program and they do things the right way.....OSU and UT are very similar in a lot of ways....cities, size, tradition and class.....
two great powerhouses in college football and two of best coaches out there, I am a die hard buckeye fan but I have tremendus respect for Texas for playing with class, can;t say the same for much of the other schools out there but tOSU is one of the classiest schools around and they will win their championship soon enough and when they do it will possibly be one of the most meaningful considering the journey we have gone through to get another...for Tress anyways.

Yes, and Texas lost to Tech and Tech lost to OU. Why OU was rated higher than Tech and Texas (and it had to come down to that) was that their OOC schedule was a lot tougher playing TCU (a top 10 team) and Cincinatti (a BCS team).
IMO Texas had to dig deep for motivation to play in this game. im a sooner fan but its unfair for TX to get snubbed from the NC game. TX pulled it together to win this but under normal circumstances this wouldnt be close.

I go to a baby school FAU that played texaas for thier seaason opener and got crushed, and it was probably the best loss i've ever taken, Texas fans are the ost respectful fans ive ever had the chance to meet. Being at that game and being in the OSU marching band, it is always a pleasure to see the texas players, band, and fans. They have an excellent program, with plenty of class, and whenever we play it is a great game down to the last few minutes. During regular season play I always root for the longhorns, and will continue to do so! Go Bucks!

When we went to Colombus in 2005 to play at the "horseshoe" it was one of the best experiences :) your fans were some of the nicest people I have EVER met!! I can agree with that comment below. As a buckeye fan, its great to see two amazing programs with the best history and such a rich talent in players.....but its a respectful rivalry. They always play good games and Im sure they will end up battling again within the next 5 years or so. this is about respect and its good to see that in college football.
Well it's a small rivalry...no like Tx/OU but depending on how the regular season schedule works out or bowl games...all match ups with OSU are always good games & fun little tit for tat with their fans :)

Are you kidding? Ohio State lost the game, i've never see a more inept offense run by a D-1 school. Texas is lucky to be the only winner out of the Big 12 Soft division.
When the play first initially happened it didn't look like a first down but they did review it. Its all said and done though so can't complain about it. All I gotta say is next season Terrell Pryor is gonna be a beast and he'll be only a sophmore. Great game by Texas though. It was a great fight. Next season is another season and this ain't the end for tOSU.
It is so good to see players comming together like that. Class acts like both the coached. At the end of the day it is just a game. Who would have thougt that OSU would take them all the way to the wire i wish they could have pulled that one out for all the seniors that came back to play. correct me if i am wrong.. but did the ref on the ohio state sideline (cloestst to the play with the best view) not mark him a yard short of that first down and them some mystery ref from out of nowhere comes and moves the ball forward.. yeah thats what i thought.. you got lucky so stfu
if you watch the play over in slow motion from the wide side of the feild, you'll notice that the forward progress is what spotted the ball for the 1st down. He extended his arms about 9 inches over the first down mark and then brought them back in just before he was taken down.

I thought that it was really cool how james, jenkins, and freeman didnt go off the field and it was cool seeing to taking to mack and colt and hearing them complement eachother and wish them luck later. I thought it was kinda odd to only see those three bucks there cause usally there are a lot more prayin but they showed great seinor class. I now have a ton of respect for McCoy and a lot of that texas team.

Im amazed at the class displayed by both teams. I did not hear ONE curse word by either side in celebration or in defeat. Two great programs with class to spare. Makes me very proud as a Longhorn to compete and come out on top of a team like Ohio State. Great to see grown men pray too. Ohio State and Texas should really look at doing something like USC and Notre Dame--a regional rivalry. It's amazing the level of character both team have and the amount of genuine respect they have for eachother. And it helps that everytime these two play, it's an instant classic. well for one the entire conference did not avg 40 pts a game. second you must not pay attention to the players in the big 12..
since you bring up choke schools guess you havent heard of OU and their 0-5 or 0-6 BCS game streak... good job Florida. Ill admit Tx Tech has a terrible defense and rely on out scoring you to win, and Dez Bryant getting hurt against Oregon hurt OSU.

I go to a baby school FAU that played texaas for thier seaason opener and got crushed, and it was probably the best loss i've ever taken, Texas fans are the ost respectful fans ive ever had the chance to meet. I'm also from ohio and a huge buckeye fan and have to say, i hope next time these teams meet the buckeyes win, but as for the big 12, i root for the horns all season! O-H Hook'em I-O!

Being at that game and being in the OSU marching band, it is always a pleasure to see the texas players, band, and fans. They have an excellent program, with plenty of class, and whenever we play it is a great game down to the last few minutes. During regular season play I always root for the longhorns, and will continue to do so! Go Bucks!

When we went to Colombus in 2005 to play at the "horseshoe" it was one of the best experiences :) your fans were some of the nicest people I have EVER met!! Like you I cheer for OSU when they're play anyone but us lol

I can agree with that comment below. As a buckeye fan, its great to see two amazing programs with the best history and such a rich talent in players.....but its a respectful rivalry. They always play good games and Im sure they will end up battling again within the next 5 years or so. this is about respect and its good to see that in college football.

Well it's a small rivalry...no like Tx/OU but depending on how the regular season schedule works out or bowl games...all match ups with OSU are always good games & fun little tit for tat with their fans :)

I've been to all 3 TX/OSU games & enjoyed every one of them...well the loss on our home field hurt but it was still a good time!! OSU fans, players, band members, etc have SO MUCH class!! I respect the entire OSU football organization!!

colt mccoy has such a great personality. i dont see why espn drools over tim tebow just because he went to go help kids, when colt also went to peru to do pretty much the same thing that Tebow did. also, i dont ever remember a time that colt mccoy talked trash to the other team. have you seen all the times tebow has done it though?
its just that espn is making such a big deal out of tim tebow and their paying almost no attention to colt.

but all in all.. what a great game.. it's tough to lose those, but it was exciting to watch.. and hopefully we can build towards the future..

When the play first initially happened it didn't look like a first down but they did review it. Its all said and done though so can't complain about it. All I gotta say is next season Terrell Pryor is gonna be a beast and he'll be only a sophmore. Great game by Texas though. It was a great fight. Next season is another season and this ain't the end for tOSU.

It is so good to see players comming together like that. Class acts like both the coached. At the end of the day it is just a game. Who would have thougt that OSU would take them all the way to the wire i wish they could have pulled that one out for all the seniors that came back to play. But they played a good game....there is always next year.

if you watch the play over in slow motion from the wide side of the feild, you'll notice that the forward progress is what spotted the ball for the 1st down. He extended his arms about 9 inches over the first down mark and then brought them back in just before he was taken down.

Its called forward progress. The replay clearly showed the ball over the 1st down marker. The ref up in the booth saw it too. Im sorry u don't agree with that rule, but it is a rule. Its not where the feet were, its where the ball was.

this was a really great video. I thought that it was really cool how james, jenkins, and freeman didnt go off the field and it was cool seeing to taking to mack and colt and hearing them complement eachother and wish them luck later. I thought it was kinda odd to only see those three bucks there cause usally there are a lot more prayin but they showed great seinor class. I now have a ton of respect for McCoy and a lot of that texas team.

Im amazed at the class displayed by both teams. I did not hear ONE curse word by either side in celebration or in defeat. Two great programs with class to spare. Makes me very proud as a Longhorn to compete and come out on top of a team like Ohio State. Great to see grown men pray too. They understand that it is not about us and that all the glory belongs to God almighty.

Thats what real men do...pray. And not to stir up negativity or take anything away from the great game Texas had but its games like this where I wish the Lord would intervene. I'm so upset about the the penalties that went against OSU. Let the players play. And if you think I'm being bias I've even defended Oklahoma when they got screwed against Oregon two years ago. Ah well it can't be changed. Texas are your 2009 Fiesta Bowl victors.

Ohio State and Texas should really look at doing something like USC and Notre Dame--a regional rivalry. It's amazing the level of character both team have and the amount of genuine respect they have for eachother. And it helps that everytime these two play, it's an instant classic. Great, great game...congrats to the Longhorns...but I wish my Bucks could have come out on top. Hey, we earned our honor back. Again, congrats on a fabolous season to both teams.

Not only would that be entertaining but it would turn into a friendly rivalry, not to mention it would help out both teams streangth of schedule each year. I'm a Texas fan. It was a great game. tOSU is one of the top programs in the country every year and I would love to see the OSU of today play USC again. But aside from that I am thrilled we won. Another instant classic.
