@Longstuff Trust me on this: go out and buy new shampoo, conditioner, and cleanser and anything you use on your face. Make sure that none of them contain sodium laureth sulfate or sodium lauryl sulfate (check the ingredients). I did this and all redness and flakes were gone in a week.
Well done for sharing your positive results with others. All I would say is that when using steroid creams it is important to monitor your skin in case of side effects. I recommended a product to a friend of mine for his SD which is actually an acne treatment and he says it has made a massive difference. It is a product from England called Teenage Dream by Mama Nature. It was great or my acne and as the symptoms of SD are similar I thought it may help him. I will spread the word also.
good video and thanks for sharing. i have been using a prescription called fluocinonide .05% for about 7 years now. it works well but is inconvenient being only prescription. i just started using a non-prescription called cortizone-10 i bought from cvs and have found it works very well.
I am so so happy I found your video. I first want to tell you that I think your really brave for telling people about your condition. I have the same. And I used elidel as well. I was actually going to try and go to the doctor in a couple days to see if I could get more. But I will go out now and try and find those products. Thank you. Seriously. You rock! ~Heather
I'm still trying to determine the source. I don't have any fillings which is the most common cause although I do eat tuna once or twice a week. I'm going through chelation therapy currently and I will be testing for mercury again soon to see if has effectively reduced my mercury count. Just ask your doctor about chelation or look it up online...good luck.
@SmileyFace Before, I also had Seborrheic Dermatitis. It was very hard for me to get rid of this kind of skin disease. Ive been to numerous dermatologist and no one cured it at all.. Good thing my partner recommended me this acne solution program that he was using the past months. I thoight it was just curable for acne but it is also for any kind of skin type problem. And now, its been 3weeks now and my skin never looked this good. Anyway, here's the acne solution site:
Everyone on here check your vitamin & mercury levels. I had this for over three years and after all sorts of lotion & home remedies I finally decided to test for mercury poisoning after my vitamin level tests showed that I was low in zinc, biotin (B7) & calcium. The mercury was literally leaching the vitamins out of my system & my skin was breaking out in an awful rash on my cheeks and forehead as a response. Check for mercury!
did you had dandruff on scalp? because, i had dandruff i used selsun blue it went away, however it did not work on my face. chemicals in selsun works cause it has neautral pH levels for the scalp, if they change the levels of pH for face skins pH i'm pretty sure it would work on face too.
I have this around my nose area and atop my eyebrows as well. the tube the dermatologist prescribed costs like $50 (no generic?) and is tiny.
when I take a shower in the morning, I use a "clinical strength" dandruff shampoo on those areas of my face. this can dry out the skin, so use an *oil-free* moisturizer shortly after. I barely have an issue with this as long as I follow that same method every day. Beats paying for that tube of foul-smelling cream, and I honestly find that it works better
I hope that works for me toooo. I dont know if I can that products here in the Philippines. Imma check it later and see if there's anything like it here. Fingers crossed. ^^;
So I have had seborrheic deem. For years and this is what I have learned. head &shoulders for seborrheic derm is great. Ketocobazole 2% prescription is great for flares but is a prescription. If your flare is bad and you want it gone in 24 hours then add a splash of bleach to a warm bath and soak especially rinsing your face.
The only thing that seems to work for me is washing my whoe body with head and shoulders. It really clears up my face but my chest is a bit harder to deal with. My face has been clean for a month and a half now. I've used about 6 different face washes, 4 different antifungual/antibiotics and about 7 different skin lotions. I've since stopped using all of that crap. Try head and shoulders!
I had severe problems with seb. dermatits. It was all over my face, especially around the nose, my hair line and the eyebrows. Right now i am basically seb free for almost 14 months.
I use Head and Shoulders (Zinc pyrithione) every second hairwash and alternate through a Selenium Disulfide and a Ciclopiroxolamine Shampoo for the other washes. I alternate using a Ketokonazole and a Ciclopiroxolamine Creme to treat the inflammed skin daily.
In the beginning I also used a steroid creme (hydrocortisole) to kickstart the healing process. I dropped it after a few weeks because of its side effects (skin thinning).
Right now the only place where you can think "there was seb. once" is around my nose. The skin there is still slightly "reddish". I am continuing to use the shampoos but i dropped selenium for its smell and I use the regular H&S 3 out of 4 washes. Everything is over the counter (in Germany at least) and it should ...
... ease the symptoms for at least 70% of the people suffering of seborrheic dermatitis. Ketokonazole, Ciclopiroxolamine, Selenium Disulfide and Zinc Pyrithione are proven to be helpful to a lot of people, so why not combine it.
I know a LOT about skin conditions. All you need is steroid cream with azelaic acid. Every two weeks give the steroid cream a break for two weeks. Glycolic acid is also very effective.
i like your video, but so far my case is mild. i had in my eye brows and its a bit reddish and scaly, it's like dandruff on my eyebrows and sometimes itching. its not actually visible but if you come to look closer you will notice it. i did some research about it and i found out that i just have to wash my face more frequently. but i'm still looking for some remedies that is much effective. so far sulfur soap is on my list and its quite effective.
another name for the "maria treben's swedish elixir" is : "maria treben's swedish bitters". so go on google and type : "swedish bitters maria treben" and you will be able to buy it online. This will work. apply it on your affected skin before going to bed and rinse it off with water when you wake up.
@Paddy17051990 you said: "Going to try this out, im from london and the shipping of these items is very expensive i hop its worth it! " are you talking about the swedish elixir ?
so once you bought it apply it on the affected areas before going to sleep thats all you'll ever need. as long as you keep on applying it once every night maybe for the rest of your life (big deal you have to eat everyday for the rest of your life you brush your teeth before going to bed so its not so bad) as long as you keep on doing that SD will never bother you again. just take that cue tip dip in the bottle and put it on your face done....... done
ALL RIGHT GUYS type this on google and buy it for yourself : "Homeocan St. Benoit Swedish Elixir" this is exactly it , it respects the maria treben recipe and it comes from france. thats where mine comes from!
@94xxxBehemothxxx94 The sarna wasn't working for me so I decided I wanted to try this elixir but it seems like every website I check has no reviews on this product, so I'm wondering if you could send me a link to the site that you bought it from. Also do you know if it has a money back guarantee for if it doesn't work?
THE ORIGINAL RECIPE OF THE SWEDISH ELIXIR IS BY MARIA TREBEN SO GET A BOTTLE THAT RESPECTS THE RECIPE i dont want you guys to get an imitation of the swedish elixir ive got the real deal and it works i want you guys to have the very same.
reading over my comments, i kinda think that i sound like a salesman who's trying to get some sales by promoting a product. im not, im just an 18 year old boy who's found a way to fix his biggest obstacle yet and i see that some of you need help. thats it ...some of you have been dealing with this for more than 5 years and i cant imagine how it was and i would be the biggest asshole to not share my secret with you sufferers.
so in conclusion using this liquid once every night will remove your SD FOREVER it wont be there anymore IT JUST WONT and the product does not dry your skin i used to have to apply moisturizers all the time well not anymore. the elixir is all you need this and nothing else it will tackle SD .All of it! i have not had a single symptom for a whole year i used to be depressed about SD now i get to worry about stupid stuff instead of health related issues, just like the good old days.
i know im spamming and being repetitive but i cant stress enough how great the swedish elixir is. fuck all the commercialised bullshit. the bottle i use of the elixir is brandless its a plain glass bottle with ingredients handpicked from the forest of course as i said you dont have to handpick it yourself u can order it online but i love how natural it is and the fact that you can do it yourself at a safe distance from all this asses that want to steal your money.
and then i found the best treatment here it is: "the swedish elixir" an ancient mixture that soothes a huge number of ailments. you can drink it but if you do you must only fill up the bottom of the glass and fill the rest with water. i dont recommned drinking it i did it and got sick which means that it worked but still... ANYWAYS back to SD apply the swedish elixir on your affected areas each night before going to bed. dip a cue tip inside the bottle and just apply it on the area. FREEDOM!!!
man i dont know why i kept this to myself. im not just gonna say it to you "demacia17" i feel bad for all of you guys. i had the same problem i hated it the disfiguring redness on my cheeks and the sides of my nose. the burning sensation. the flakes, the yellow crusts, the bleeding, the rough feeling. i used head and shoulders which worked well but then i had to deal with dryness.... if i dont use the shampoo i get dry skin from sd if i use the shampoo i STILL GET DRY SKIN. it was annoying.
it has a french name which is l'elixir du suedois : the swedish elixir also known as longlife elixir. search it up on google they will probably give you the recipe and you can probably buy it already made. just make sure thats its really natural, thats authentic and the real deal. i hope that you can get your hands on it and that it will work as well for you as it did for me. again, if it does you will forget about sd man im so fucking happy i dont have to use shampoos and hydrating creams
this can be problem that grow with stress. But I had it on my forehead. And it gone after i start to eat raw food.but stress started it again, just a little spot, above eye"lid". And i have lost also dandruff. And i was eating 1 raw meal only during the day. I hope it will help you all. So - GO RAW!
Bought some 'Sarna' couple of weeks ago from Amazon....I must say it has provided a great deal of relief from the itchy symptoms I suffer with. Used in conjunction with the cream I am prescribed by my doctor (Elocon) I have seen a huge improvement and can only thank you for this post in the first instance.
Thanks for the video, it's great to see people trying to help others. For others stuck for a treament, I've had fantastic results using head and shoulders original.
I believe it's the zinc is the active ingredient that is helping here. Just wash your hair as normal and with the soap suds, rub all over the affected areas, I saw results with in 24 hrs. Do this once in the morning and night, hopefully it'll help you as much as it did me.
@94xxxBehemothxxx94 How long did you and your family have SD for before it went away? I've had it for over 2 years and I feel like it's going to be permanent.
@Demacia17 They had it for years during their puberty. im 17 ,almost 18 it's gonna be two years with SD in a couple of months. for them and i hope for me as well, it was a puberty issue just like acne. you wake up one day and you have acne 4 years later you get up one day and you no longer have it. im just waiting for the body to settle down oily skin and all that crap is linked to puberty anyways so i dunno how old you are but puberty probably doesnt help and getting out of it should help.
@Demacia17 anyways there's an extremely powerful relief for seborrheic dermatitis. its a mixture of plants . no need to have creams on your face i hate the feeling, no need to put shampoo on your face and have to deal with dryness afterwards. my grandma does it for me so im pretty clueless about it. she goes in the forest and picks out some shit and makes a mixture out of it, i apply it before going to bed the result: amazing. if you put it on each night you will never have to deal with sd again
This condition runs in my family. My SD is definitly hereditary. My grandpa had it, my dad had it, three of my dad's brothers had it ,now i have it and so does my brother. The good thing is that all of these family members who had SD before me , told me that it went away for good. And its true cuz i see them and they never have red spots, or oily skin ,or dandruff or peeling skin their skins are perfect. so damn... i hope that i will be as lucky as they are. Everybody says that it's uncurable.
Don't ever let it get you down bud im 41 and have had this condition since i was 13 and have a successful career in the British army because i've not let it get in my way but do feel your pain bud its not nice and can get really uncomfortable in dry heat . Try and stay away from steroid based creams they can scar your face even more .
Just wanted to say THANKS for putting up this vid. I've had this condition for over six months and tried everything, but I took your recommendation this weekend and so far it's been AMAZINGLY better. My skin's not oily, but it was turning red and flaking. Since I've used this stuff, it's been smooth, lightening up, and no flaking. Since the Sarna is oily I put it on at night, and by morning the oiliness is gone. Then I touch up with a tiny bit of Cortaid before work, and, all is good. Thanks!
Some success i've had recently with mine and at the time it was really bad. I had redness all around my hair-line, forehead, both sides of my nose, jaw and chest. I noticed it would flare up after drinking alcohol but i found recently it came from me producing excess oils in my hair which irritated the skin around my HAIRLINE, MY BEARD, EYEBROWS, CHEST.
I've found preventions and tips to combat this. please message me so i can help you because i haven't got enough space in this comment box!
Makeup does not help AT ALL for women, when you have this skin disease. I have this and makeup just makes it look worse. It collects in all the flakes and looks horrible. This sucks for men and women. I always look like I have a sunburn and my whole face is flaking all the time.
@dermlover1 I started getting dermatitis on my face last winter, although before I only had it on my scalp, and after applying a a lotion with a acai and other vitamins (w/o alcohol), the dermatitis is completely gone. In addition, I was using a hair loss product on my scalp (also with vitamins in it) and though it didn't do much for the hair loss, it has completely cured my dermatitis(i've been outbreak free for about two months now).
@joellie2010 The products I used were kind of pricey, but definitely worth it imo. I used reviv MD on my face (you could just google it ) & therapro numinox on my scalp. For my face, I just applied the product for a little over a month, until I was sure the dermatitis was completely clear and wasn't just lurking below the surface. I also avoided applying makeup to those areas during that time and getting some sun should probably help speed up the healing process.
i have it really bad in my right ear and nothing has worked much at all i will try this. i also have to wear earplugs at work which makes this so much worse on me.
i used exactly what you suggested and it worked! my problem is like 1/3 of what it is now! after the first day i noticed very good results, i cant wait to see what it looks like in a week.
@Stormspartan I live in the UK, have been suffering for the past ten years! Just ordered some online from the States, fingers crossed I get the same results!
i hope it works ^^ i know it can be a very large pain to deal with. i can now look at people in the eyes for more than 2 seconds :P i hope the best works for you. good luck!
I have had this since I was 10ish, now I am 22, and I have been using so many products, really nice vid. I have Psoriasis aswell, but that is not active at all and have not been for years. I would love trying this, If some1 have the opertunity to ship these 2 products to me (I live in Norway) I will pay you 200% of what it cost and pay the shipping and you get 30 USD for the packing and shopping it. All via Paypal.
@dextiir Hi there, just oredered some online via Amazon. Works out less than £25 for the product and delivery. May be worth having a look to see how much it would be to do it that way, may work out around the same. Hope this helps.
I suffer from Seborrheic Dermatitis and Rosacea. I could relate so much to what you said! I had a quick question. What strength of hydrocortisone do you use? What are specifics? Thanks so much! :)
you look fine- i found that going on an elimination diet cleared my perioral dermatitis by . Food allergies are often a cause. I now don't eat wheat or gluten. And i only eat dairy sparingly.
It's a small sacrifice for clear skin and you'll feel so much more confident!
I've been using all natural honey on my skin for Seborrheic Dermatitis and it's been working really well. I know it seems kind of strange to be putting honey on your skin but it has antifungal, antiinflammatory, and antibacterial properties. And I think it's better than using products that have side effects if used too long. Obviously, if you're allergic to honey, don't use it xD
I'm from Australia and I did suffer from Seb/ Derm for about 2 years. For the last week now I've been trying a new skin care treatment cream thats called Tom McArthur Paw Paw Creams.. All I can say is this cream works and cures most crippling skin aliments. Tom McArthur is actually his name and the product can be purchased on his website. Watch the youtube clips and see for yourself the magic this cream is doing in Australia. This is no snake oil man. It works. Its fantastic. Cheers
Scalp psoriasis and seborrhea dermatitis of the scalp can be difficult to tell apart.
They share similar symptoms as itchy, red, scaly skin. usually the scales of psoriasis are thicker and drier in appearance than the scales of seborrhea dermatitis.if you have scalp psoriasis, you might have mild psoriasis on your elbows, knees, hands or feet or may notice subtle nail changes. The American Institute of Advanced Medicine has your solution. theaiam.com
i wish i could find a remedy for it. i live in the uk and have seborreic dermatitis, but i have psoriasis aswell and everything i've been prescribed has never worked. normal moisteriser burns. if anyone has any ideas please feel free to share them cos i'm really paranoid about it
I've been suffering from Seborrheic Dermatitis for about 7 years. And like you, I've literally been on every single prescribed medication to help from Doctor's spending thousands of dollars over the past several years. But I tried Sarna and a hydro cortisone cream with aloe, and literally my face and any blemishes on the back of my legs and arms cleared up within a week. I was just searching remedies and I found your video and literally, it was probably the BEST combination i've ever tried. :)
**planning on making yet another video to show what my face looks like now. ** Have been moving around a lot and will hopefully be in a place soon where I can continue making videos addressing questions and or concerns.
-I can't stress enough, that the best advice I can give, is to see a dermatologist first, before trying any treatment. I wasted SO much money trying different treatments for the wrong condition. Please continue supporting this thread by posting budget friendly treatments! TY!
@areyoumylobster - I've seen 4 dermatologist, they just prescribe cortisone cream, all just said that it can't be cured, tough luck basically, and gave prescription for cortisone cream. They suck! frustrating. I just found a plain yogurt mask, this week and have had much better results than any Dr told me about.
Choose the organic plain yogurt, rub it one face, let dry, then rinse with warm water. I've had great results just with that , then adding a lotion for moisture if needed. Good luck!
@joellie2010 When I made this video, I used the Walgreen's generic brand Apricot scrub. it doesn't matter so much what brand you use, but make sure you get a scrub that is OIL-FREE!. I think I have since switched over to the Target brand "UP' apricot scrub. Hope this helps! :)
@areyoumylobster Thanks! I am looking forward for your next video as many others.
af few other questions hopefully you can answer.
1.Do you see any skin damage in skin texture of the toplayer of your skin. You can only see this mostly when you look in dimm light closely along your skin. I am very curious to know this because you use this treatment already for such a long time..
2. In the video you talk about Sea Breeze. normally you use another one, which one?
I just started having this problem for a month right under my eyebrows and on top of my eyes, it just started and its been a month. My eyes burn very strongly when ever tears water my eyes. The burning and itching started a few days ago but the rash was coming a month ago and now the burning and itching is driving me insane, I hope this does not last for years :( I'll go insane :( I hope you get better too, I'm so worried :(
I've had this problem for quite a few years now. I've been told to use about the same amount of products, the steroid cream really was the last straw. I decided to go 'natural' and it works a lot better. I use avocado oil myself (on the face directly) and I wash my hair with Head & Shoulders. It's not really a cure, but it seems to make it more manageable in my case. Also, the ones suggesting it's a problem with diet, the true cause of SD isn't known and adjusting a diet only works for some.
@OmegaSamaRed I finally went to the doctor a couple weeks ago and got medicine and now its all gone :) I must have gotten the dermatitis from bacteria but its all better now :) I hope you get better too :)
it helped me when i started using organic shampoo such as aubrey organics. Makes sense if you think about it - you wash your hair and the water and shampoo is runnin all over your face making ur face break out even more...oh and coconut oil( 1 tsp in coffee every morning).
Hi everyone, I keep coming here to post things that I have found helpful. I am now using tea tree oil on my face and its helping a lot. I seriously recommend this stuff. Make sure you use one of good quality. It helps with break outs and the redness. Use it 2xs a day. You can use it on your scalp too.

@alroy37 I hate to go out in public. I hate to look people dead in the face and them asking me what is that on my skin, when i was younger I thought it had something to do with acid. Because whenever i just drink water it will get a little better, but when i drink juices or drinks it will flare up quick. I have it on my scalp, around nose, in ear lobe and edge of eyebrows. Been had it for 5 years im now 20. Im now using selsun blue, and hope it helps. I hate this!
Use apple cider vinegar for washing your face and scalp once a day. If you find it too strong, dilute it 50/50 with some water.
It's cheap, natural and no bullsh*t.
It won't remove it permanently, but if you use it once a day it will be as good as gone.
While your at it, drink a tablespoon of it once a day too, it detoxes your insides. It also does wonders for a irritated throat. I only discovered it the other week so i thought i'd share it with anyone else who suffers from this condition.
Do you have any scalp symptoms? I was diagnosed with this condition but never asked about my scalp which had always been flaky. When my scalp condition was treated I no longer had SD on my face or back!
i going to try something called "la liqueur du suedois" also known as "l'elixir du suedois" this translate into: The swedish elixir i guess... So substance is amazing and i know people who've been cured of nasty skin conditions like psoriasis by using that crap. these sorts of conditions must be healed with alternative medecine i dunno try spiritual, try plants but fuck medication i t wont heal shit for long. ill provide temporary relief but thats it.
my father and his 3 brothers had seborrheic dermatitis at my age. My sd is therefore, genetic. their SD went away on its own when they became adults and so will mine I am waiting for that day
My dermatologist told me to use 1% Cortizone cream + 2% Miconazole cream mix them together, CETAPHIL moisturizer cream and Lumitene (Beta Carotene) i dont know if it work on me cause today is my first day today to use it but ive been having this dryness, flaky, red and irritating skin for the last two weeks specially around my eyes, forehead and my nose.
I've had it pretty bad in my eyebrows, around nose, hairline, behind ears, and used all these cremes and the only thing they do is suppress it for a week or so for me, I tried something weird that actually works though, I wash my face with milk of magnesium, and wear it as a mask at night and it has controlled mine for two months straight now, I don't know why but my hair is also better, such as the dandruff and whatnot, if it works for me it'll probably work for everyone else
I use benadryl to sleep, and noticed my skin was much better while using it. I guess it helped the redness and inflammation. I also use acidophillus which is a probiotic to balance out the yeast in my body. Supposedly this condition has something to do with yeast. My last flare up was caused by over exfoliating my face. Using a mild oil free face wash most of the week might help like Cetaphil, or cerave. astringent will irritate and inflame your skin. salycilic acid toners or gel work better
That second medicine ... Chlordoe or whatever ... it said 0,1% ... was that for Hydrocortisone? 0,1% is nothing. That wouldn´t help at all! You can get Ebenol, starting with 0,25% up to 0,5% which helps better. In England you could get different brands containing up to 1% Hydrocortisone and that should do. However, you shouldn´t use too much of it on your face! If itching bothers you, putting yoghurt on your skin is a relief! Helps for me! Cause cutting off the blisters won´t help ... (I know!)
Forget all the astringent acne crap and STEROIDS!!!
Buy some Head and Shoulders (or any other DANDRUFF shampoo) and while in the shower, lather it onto your FACE (and head too if you have dandruff also like I do). NOW MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE IT ON FOR FIVE MINUTES!!!! IF you don't, you will be making the SD stronger and more immune to the shampoo.
Also, SWITCH SHAMPOOS EVERY MONTH!! Otherwise, you will still develop resistant SD, and that will suck.
I have this. It's horrible. I had prescriptions, too, but after a year my skin became addicted and the SD came back tenfold. I did research and started using apple cider vinegar. It hurt like a bitch when I started - really, it was torturous. The next was still bad, even the next, but by the fourth day my skin started "healing," and flaking off like an old sunburn. Then, it cleared. BUT, you have to use it regularly. If you stop, the SD will come back. Google it, do the research, you'll see.
Anybody watching this video... DONT use the cortaid or any steroid cream every day. Spread it out as long as you can. Your body will eventually build an immunity to that temporary relief so you want it to last as long as it can. And using it for a long period of time will eventually cause skin atrophy and make it look worse. Just a heads up. Look for a natural solution.
Nice video, tho. Good to see people sharing their experience and letting others know theyre not alone.
You should check out desonide cream. They have it in generic form and is very inexpensive. It's a steroid and works fantastic at controlling seborrheic dermatitis. Works exceptionally well, it will seriously blow your mind. Use it until symptoms clear up, cut yeast intake, and voile. You won't have a recurrence for a while.

You would think that with such a common disorder, they would have found a guarenteed cure for it by now! Its so horrible dealing with this. Aloe Vera works for me to control is. I just pray it does not spread anymore than my nose.
hi everyone, i have been suffering from seborreich dermatites for years, now i m using this fantastic natural cream called champori. This is the best cream, it really work for me, it is all natural and start to work after the first time used. It reduce the redness and after 3 days it is all gone, surely i apply everytime i need to, but i never had a reaccurance since i bought the cream. you can google champori to find their website
@omissam75 thanks.. what happens if you rub with your finger after washing.. Do you get than tiny teeny flakes or any rash you can barely see with the naked eye..? what cleanser do you use?
@joellie2010 hi it is more than a month now that i use the champory cream and still not redness, i apply it 2 times a week. it is really good have a try hope it ll help
@omissam75 that sounds ok! but what about litlle rashes... the white ones>> when you rub your finger over your nose? Tell me also if you see the ones you can barely see with the naked eye. thanks!
but this is when you moved.. So it could also be the climate change... ?? what is Vo5?.. any way big fun I am going this night hanging myself upsidedown and see what happens.. So what is your record in time?? :)
I've been using VO5 all my life. When I moved north was when it started. I hang upside down for as long as I feel really. Just depends on you and how long you're comfortable. All I know is that it worked. It wasn't due to any supplements (I don't take any anyway). A week after I started inversion, my flakes were G-O-N-E :)
@APMartin88 Hey, Can you provide more info on how many times a week you use the table and how soon you saw an effect? Has it really totally gone? Thanks.
An inversion table is a platform on a hinge that is mainly used for therapeutic holistic back relief. I bought one because I was having severe back issues and I didn't want surgery. I bought one for $100 at my my local sporting goods store. It basically elongates your discs in your back by turning you upside down (inverting you). I assume it allowed the necessary blood flow into my head that my scalp lacked, and viola! No more flaking scalp. Hope this helps :)
@APMartin88 Do you use any supplements and if so which ones.. did you changed shampo?.. and how long are you upsidedown :) like a bat .. very strange but fun
I am on prescriptions also, I have it on my scalp and after 11yrs of doctors telling me that it is eczema, I FINALLY found a dermatologist that knows what she is talking about. I wish you the best of luck!
I originally used my inversion table for back pain, however it cured my extremely clumpy/flaky scalp. No more issues. DONE! I suffered for years. So glad!
@joellie2010 Hey, I was wondering if you have tried the inversion table and if it has helped you at all? I am ready to try just about anything at this point but would be nice to get feedback before I go ahead and buy one.
i had severe Seborrheic Dermatitis on my scalp for more than 10 years and the doctors didn't help until recently my mom took me too one walk in clinic doctor who actually was alot of help, he prescribed a liquid called Ratio-Ectosone 0.1% for my head and said i should be a new man within two weeks, it worked within 2 days, within 2 weeks it was gone, i continually use it every third day, so far no redness, flaking or oily scalp. It is a cordicosteroid, it comes in liquid form, and cream.
I had nightmares. I felt shame about it. I'm 46 now, but when it appeared I was pretty and early 20's. I dreamed I had a fish growing on my head. I dreamed my husband was looking at me with disgust while some weird thing grew out of my scalp. I am glad you don't have the irrational shame. Not sure why I had that.
I saw this vid, and got in the car and went to Walgreen's. Got $51.08 worth of stuff. Sarna lotion, Cortaid, tar shampoo, Head&Shoulders, and Scalpicin. God, give me some f***ing relief!
i just had seborrheic dermatitis on my face 2 years ago, and still coming back... one time it was healed after one day it cme back.. after that i go to different dermatologist, she prescribed a steroid cream called "betamethasone".. and it really works... but still depends on the skin type i think.. and she told me to wash my face once or twice a day using "nizoral"... take note.. b4 going at the derma my face like was suffering from severe sborrheic drmattis, after 4 or 5 days it was gone.. :)
My doctor said to try using anti dandruff shampoo on my dry skin. it does work, i also got Daktacort which works too. the only thing is you need to keep using it everyday. seborrheic dermatitis is also related to stress and enviroment. If you work in a fast food place, that could be a reason for this condition. It is also down to diet. I would say the best thing is to go out with your friends, have a good time, find a better job and just enjoy life.
the only time in my life I didnt have any skin problam was when I was 6 month is south east asia and I ate garbage there,so it got nothing to do with nutrition(the sun there is strong) since I returned I have this all the time and I keep very very good nutrition.
lately I thought alot about it, and I got to the concloution that the caus is stress and lack of sun!!!, try it(the whole body need the sun uvb rays to make vitamin D, )the sun is free,
Hi, I will be buying these 2 tomorrow at walmart, I have been using elidel for about 4 years now, I live in mexico and it's about 15 bucks a tube and it works great for me, although I think it is giving me acne. Now that the dry cold months are heading over I already saw a change in my skin and i'm starting to flare up. I hadn't used elidel in about a month and thought my skin condition had finally been controlled but it is coming back. I have great hopes for this products, thanks.
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooob. jk thanks!
hey i had sd in my scalp for 7 years now and recently i started to noticed lil red spot with flake in the between my eyebrows any one know any good shampoo i try t gel selsum blue but did not work @ all
I had SD for a year.I tryed creams that did not work .Finally i went back to the Doc. and he gave me a shot of Kenalog. It took it right away and was gone for five years. It just started to come back so i will have to get another shot, but it is so worth it not to suffer.Hope this info helps.
i got this shit... T zone same shit.. i fuckin hate it lol.. i found that washing my face i use hydrocortizone cream ... and actually when i started to go tanning it prtty much burned that shit off and it was like a babys ass smooth and it felt great plus i was tan you couldnt even tell i had anything wrong and i know tanning is dangerous but to me it is well worth it
My problem with this seems to flare up during the fall and winter season.I feel like there's something underlying causing it.Anyway,a great treatment that a doctor gave me was a shampoo called selenium sulfide 2.5%.I make sure to follow the directions on the bottle. This does make my skin somewhat oily but it clears up the redness completely.I would like to know the cure for this though.
Turmeric (know as haldi is hindi) is also non Carcinogenic and is has been recommended to people that have tumors/chemotherapy etc. My uncle was told to have 2 Tbs with water and yogurt everyday by his radiologist. Lemon juice and apple cider vinegar helps too but i would recommend diluting it first.
i have found that using a paste with yogurt and turmeric powder really helps to get the redness down. turmeric is an ayurvedi remedy for many ailments and i have now been using it for 3 days and it really helps. You have to leave it on for at least 1 hr and use cold milk to take all the yellow stains off your face. Try it....its completely natural.
Just wanna say thank you for making this video, its really cool of you and you seem like a such a sweet, nice, awesome person. btw I LOVE Halloween too :)) I have seborrheic dermatitis too. I'm currently using Fluocinonide (plus CeraVe) but I don't really want to because its such a strong steroid cream and I'm afraid it might be harming me in some other way (ala Elidel) So far it's working to clear things up but I know that it only masks things and I'm interested in prevention and a true cure.
About 3 weeks ago I came across a website that mentioned that Sodium Lauryl Solphate should be avoided. I had no idea what SLS was so looked it up. It's an industrial cleaner that is found in nearly all shampoo's and face wash. Including Niziral, head & shoulders etc. Like everything else I gave it a try and used a baby shampoo and a bar of soap (SLS free). Within a 2 days the inflamation went. After a week i noticed the red areas reduce in size. Its been 3 wks and its 50% gone. Give it a try
I am so tired of my acne and seborrheic dermatitis that i stopped my regular diet - it was diary free. I don't know if soy, gluten or dairy is the problem but now I'm only eating fruits and vegetables for this whole month and I am seeing results just within in 5 days. The seborrheic dermatitis has lessened on its own and i'm hoping that sticking to this diet will clear it up.
my doctor gave me Panafcortelone it helps but it dose not get rid of it
Longstuff 1 day ago

@mchristensen1981 What did you do about the mercury? and what is the source in your body where does it come from?

did you had dandruff on scalp? because, i had dandruff i used selsun blue it went away, however it did not work on my face. chemicals in selsun works cause it has neautral pH levels for the scalp, if they change the levels of pH for face skins pH i'm pretty sure it would work on face too.

Mayo clinic recommends 1/2 cup to 40 gallons for eczema and I assure you it helps with seborrheic derm too
aavick09 2 months ago

I alternate using a Ketokonazole and a Ciclopiroxolamine Creme to treat the inflammed skin daily.
f4ithle2k 4 months ago
In the beginning I also used a steroid creme (hydrocortisole) to kickstart the healing process. I dropped it after a few weeks because of its side effects (skin thinning).
Right now the only place where you can think "there was seb. once" is around my nose. The skin there is still slightly "reddish". I am continuing to use the shampoos but i dropped selenium for its smell and I use the regular H&S 3 out of 4 washes. Everything is over the counter (in Germany at least) and it should ...
f4ithle2k 4 months ago
... ease the symptoms for at least 70% of the people suffering of seborrheic dermatitis. Ketokonazole, Ciclopiroxolamine, Selenium Disulfide and Zinc Pyrithione are proven to be helpful to a lot of people, so why not combine it.

i like your video, but so far my case is mild. i had in my eye brows and its a bit reddish and scaly, it's like dandruff on my eyebrows and sometimes itching. its not actually visible but if you come to look closer you will notice it. i did some research about it and i found out that i just have to wash my face more frequently. but i'm still looking for some remedies that is much effective. so far sulfur soap is on my list and its quite effective.

another name for the "maria treben's swedish elixir" is : "maria treben's swedish bitters". so go on google and type : "swedish bitters maria treben" and you will be able to buy it online. This will work. apply it on your affected skin before going to bed and rinse it off with water when you wake up.

@Paddy17051990 you said: "Going to try this out, im from london and the shipping of these items is very expensive i hop its worth it! " are you talking about the swedish elixir ?
94xxxBehemothxxx94 5 months ago
so once you bought it apply it on the affected areas before going to sleep thats all you'll ever need. as long as you keep on applying it once every night maybe for the rest of your life (big deal you have to eat everyday for the rest of your life you brush your teeth before going to bed so its not so bad) as long as you keep on doing that SD will never bother you again. just take that cue tip dip in the bottle and put it on your face done....... done
94xxxBehemothxxx94 5 months ago

94xxxBehemothxxx94 5 months ago
so in conclusion using this liquid once every night will remove your SD FOREVER it wont be there anymore IT JUST WONT and the product does not dry your skin i used to have to apply moisturizers all the time well not anymore. the elixir is all you need this and nothing else it will tackle SD .All of it! i have not had a single symptom for a whole year i used to be depressed about SD now i get to worry about stupid stuff instead of health related issues, just like the good old days.
94xxxBehemothxxx94 5 months ago
i know im spamming and being repetitive but i cant stress enough how great the swedish elixir is. fuck all the commercialised bullshit. the bottle i use of the elixir is brandless its a plain glass bottle with ingredients handpicked from the forest of course as i said you dont have to handpick it yourself u can order it online but i love how natural it is and the fact that you can do it yourself at a safe distance from all this asses that want to steal your money.
94xxxBehemothxxx94 5 months ago
and then i found the best treatment here it is: "the swedish elixir" an ancient mixture that soothes a huge number of ailments. you can drink it but if you do you must only fill up the bottom of the glass and fill the rest with water. i dont recommned drinking it i did it and got sick which means that it worked but still... ANYWAYS back to SD apply the swedish elixir on your affected areas each night before going to bed. dip a cue tip inside the bottle and just apply it on the area. FREEDOM!!!
94xxxBehemothxxx94 5 months ago
man i dont know why i kept this to myself. im not just gonna say it to you "demacia17" i feel bad for all of you guys. i had the same problem i hated it the disfiguring redness on my cheeks and the sides of my nose. the burning sensation. the flakes, the yellow crusts, the bleeding, the rough feeling. i used head and shoulders which worked well but then i had to deal with dryness.... if i dont use the shampoo i get dry skin from sd if i use the shampoo i STILL GET DRY SKIN. it was annoying.
94xxxBehemothxxx94 5 months ago
it has a french name which is l'elixir du suedois : the swedish elixir also known as longlife elixir. search it up on google they will probably give you the recipe and you can probably buy it already made. just make sure thats its really natural, thats authentic and the real deal. i hope that you can get your hands on it and that it will work as well for you as it did for me. again, if it does you will forget about sd man im so fucking happy i dont have to use shampoos and hydrating creams
94xxxBehemothxxx94 5 months ago

Thanks for the video, it's great to see people trying to help others. For others stuck for a treament, I've had fantastic results using head and shoulders original.
I believe it's the zinc is the active ingredient that is helping here. Just wash your hair as normal and with the soap suds, rub all over the affected areas, I saw results with in 24 hrs. Do this once in the morning and night, hopefully it'll help you as much as it did me.

94xxxBehemothxxx94 6 months ago
@94xxxBehemothxxx94 How long did you and your family have SD for before it went away? I've had it for over 2 years and I feel like it's going to be permanent.
Demacia17 5 months ago
@Demacia17 They had it for years during their puberty. im 17 ,almost 18 it's gonna be two years with SD in a couple of months. for them and i hope for me as well, it was a puberty issue just like acne. you wake up one day and you have acne 4 years later you get up one day and you no longer have it. im just waiting for the body to settle down oily skin and all that crap is linked to puberty anyways so i dunno how old you are but puberty probably doesnt help and getting out of it should help.
94xxxBehemothxxx94 5 months ago
@Demacia17 anyways there's an extremely powerful relief for seborrheic dermatitis. its a mixture of plants . no need to have creams on your face i hate the feeling, no need to put shampoo on your face and have to deal with dryness afterwards. my grandma does it for me so im pretty clueless about it. she goes in the forest and picks out some shit and makes a mixture out of it, i apply it before going to bed the result: amazing. if you put it on each night you will never have to deal with sd again
94xxxBehemothxxx94 5 months ago
This condition runs in my family. My SD is definitly hereditary. My grandpa had it, my dad had it, three of my dad's brothers had it ,now i have it and so does my brother. The good thing is that all of these family members who had SD before me , told me that it went away for good. And its true cuz i see them and they never have red spots, or oily skin ,or dandruff or peeling skin their skins are perfect. so damn... i hope that i will be as lucky as they are. Everybody says that it's uncurable.
94xxxBehemothxxx94 6 months ago
Don't ever let it get you down bud im 41 and have had this condition since i was 13 and have a successful career in the British army because i've not let it get in my way but do feel your pain bud its not nice and can get really uncomfortable in dry heat . Try and stay away from steroid based creams they can scar your face even more .
Take care and thanks for the video :)

In addition, I was using a hair loss product on my scalp (also with vitamins in it) and though it didn't do much for the hair loss, it has completely cured my dermatitis(i've been outbreak free for about two months now).

joellie2010 6 months ago
@joellie2010 The products I used were kind of pricey, but definitely worth it imo. I used reviv MD on my face (you could just google it ) & therapro numinox on my scalp. For my face, I just applied the product for a little over a month, until I was sure the dermatitis was completely clear and wasn't just lurking below the surface. I also avoided applying makeup to those areas during that time and getting some sun should probably help speed up the healing process.
I hope it works 4 u

I've been using all natural honey on my skin for Seborrheic Dermatitis and it's been working really well. I know it seems kind of strange to be putting honey on your skin but it has antifungal, antiinflammatory, and antibacterial properties. And I think it's better than using products that have side effects if used too long. Obviously, if you're allergic to honey, don't use it xD

The American Institute of Advanced Medicine has your solution. theaiam.com

2. In the video you talk about Sea Breeze. normally you use another one, which one?
take care! thanks!!

I just started having this problem for a month right under my eyebrows and on top of my eyes, it just started and its been a month. My eyes burn very strongly when ever tears water my eyes. The burning and itching started a few days ago but the rash was coming a month ago and now the burning and itching is driving me insane, I hope this does not last for years :( I'll go insane :( I hope you get better too, I'm so worried :(
Kreechum 9 months ago
I've had this problem for quite a few years now. I've been told to use about the same amount of products, the steroid cream really was the last straw. I decided to go 'natural' and it works a lot better. I use avocado oil myself (on the face directly) and I wash my hair with Head & Shoulders. It's not really a cure, but it seems to make it more manageable in my case. Also, the ones suggesting it's a problem with diet, the true cause of SD isn't known and adjusting a diet only works for some.

@OmegaSamaRed thats awful I hope you get better soon

@Kreechum Thank you :)
The avocado-oil has been working great. It's still a bit red, but nothing make-up can't fix. With the oil my skin doesn't dry up either :P

I hate this!

my cheeks are very red, and i get tiny white heads where the redness is. what do you think it is?? does it sound like SD?
CancerianChris 10 months ago
Corticosteroid ...??? using that forever is not a good idea I guess.and scrubbing your face often will cause "erosion". it's bad for the skin.
shanna1950 10 months ago
Use apple cider vinegar for washing your face and scalp once a day. If you find it too strong, dilute it 50/50 with some water.
It's cheap, natural and no bullsh*t.
It won't remove it permanently, but if you use it once a day it will be as good as gone.
While your at it, drink a tablespoon of it once a day too, it detoxes your insides. It also does wonders for a irritated throat. I only discovered it the other week so i thought i'd share it with anyone else who suffers from this condition.
mattperthwa 10 months ago
Do you have any scalp symptoms? I was diagnosed with this condition but never asked about my scalp which had always been flaky. When my scalp condition was treated I no longer had SD on my face or back!
mredwina2010 10 months ago
i going to try something called "la liqueur du suedois" also known as "l'elixir du suedois" this translate into: The swedish elixir i guess...

Empee1987 11 months ago

Using a mild oil free face wash most of the week might help like Cetaphil, or cerave. astringent will irritate and inflame your skin. salycilic acid toners or gel work better
kimbieaz 11 months ago
That second medicine ... Chlordoe or whatever ... it said 0,1% ... was that for Hydrocortisone? 0,1% is nothing. That wouldn´t help at all! You can get Ebenol, starting with 0,25% up to 0,5% which helps better. In England you could get different brands containing up to 1% Hydrocortisone and that should do. However, you shouldn´t use too much of it on your face! If itching bothers you, putting yoghurt on your skin is a relief! Helps for me! Cause cutting off the blisters won´t help ... (I know!)
Leecher4711 11 months ago
Forget all the astringent acne crap and STEROIDS!!!
Buy some Head and Shoulders (or any other DANDRUFF shampoo) and while in the shower, lather it onto your FACE (and head too if you have dandruff also like I do). NOW MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE IT ON FOR FIVE MINUTES!!!! IF you don't, you will be making the SD stronger and more immune to the shampoo.
Also, SWITCH SHAMPOOS EVERY MONTH!! Otherwise, you will still develop resistant SD, and that will suck.
BEST OF LUCK!!
staphinfection 11 months ago

I just pray it does not spread anymore than my nose.

but this is when you moved.. So it could also be the climate change... ?? what is Vo5?.. any way big fun I am going this night hanging myself upsidedown and see what happens.. So what is your record in time?? :)
joellie2010 1 year ago
I've been using VO5 all my life. When I moved north was when it started. I hang upside down for as long as I feel really. Just depends on you and how long you're comfortable. All I know is that it worked. It wasn't due to any supplements (I don't take any anyway). A week after I started inversion, my flakes were G-O-N-E :)

Now that the dry cold months are heading over I already saw a change in my skin and i'm starting to flare up. I hadn't used elidel in about a month and thought my skin condition had finally been controlled but it is coming back. I have great hopes for this products, thanks.

Lemon juice and apple cider vinegar helps too but i would recommend diluting it first.
malika585 1 year ago
i have found that using a paste with yogurt and turmeric powder really helps to get the redness down. turmeric is an ayurvedi remedy for many ailments and i have now been using it for 3 days and it really helps. You have to leave it on for at least 1 hr and use cold milk to take all the yellow stains off your face. Try it....its completely natural.
