Yes, you are right, hooks are facing down. This is difference between my loom and other looms. These hooks pick up previous row of stitches, which was grabbed before. I suppose, you had missed moment of grabbing. You can see my other videos ( 9 ) to understand process of knitting.
Fascinating! I am having trouble understanding how the removable frames with the hooks on them work. It looks like the hooks are facing down -- how do they pick up the yarn?
@GentlyFeral Looks like after he brings the loops over, he sets the hooks inside the stitches currently on the needles. Because the hooks are facing down he can simply draw the loops out and over the needles this way.
Gosh, this knitter is much faster than the Afghan knitting board. I like it.
