  • It´s Ok. Interesting and useful for students.

  • Samhain is actually pronounced "sow win". It became a christian holiday when Pope Gregory I declared that the christians would create holidays on top of the pagan holidays and would also adopt most of the pagan customs that went along with it, but put a christian name and spin on it. Christmas is the same way, a pagan holiday that was "christianized".
