  • @climbtheplanet ok, G C D and Em are the only 4 chords in the whole song, they're just switched around every once in a while from the original pattern which is G D Em G C G D Em C

  • I'm trying to learn that song on the Mandolin. I'm also trying to record it. Great job though! I actually was going to say that you also sound like a Jolie Holland.

  • I played it in the key of G. which is the same one that he did. i think. I taught it to myself. uhm. you can find the chord chart on ultimate-guitar. com

its pretty simple. once you get the chord pattern, its all repetative.

  • @thejilleli sorry this reply is so far out, I did no realize you had replied and I put the mando down for a bit. I looked up the chord chart & figured the opening progression of G-D-Emin-C. Do you remember the other chords you play throughout the song? The guitar chords aren't helping me much. Sorry that I am asking you to spell it out for me, but I'm not that good and this version is important to me for personal reasons & helping me learn it is more of a good turn than you could know. Thanks!

  • I have been really trying, and failing, to find a resource for playing this song on the mandolin like it was done by IZ on the uke. . .basically just like Jill has done here. Jill, can you please tell me how/where you learned this version on the mandolin? If you taught yourself, could you post the cords, tabs, hints, advice, etc? I can play a version of my own stylings but it is no where near as cool as this version. Great job and thanks in advance for any help!
