  • Will this work for the T.B.E.F XP500

    Thanks.

  • @ppxclan If it comes with the RCA cables yes. If it comes with an Optical cable just plug it into the Optical cable from the XBOX 360 or back of your TV @ 3:00

  • hey man i really aprecciate for putting this video help me a lot,now i can easily talk online and hear everything clearly through my wireless headphones i just bought for $10 bucks plus the hdmi and audio adapter wich i found at amazon for 5 bucks this is just great total price i end up spendin just $15 instead of 30 or 65 for expensive one. thanks again!!!

  • Hey a question for you!

I just got turtle beaches x12. My TV does not have audio output... Crap.. So i used the green cable you showed in your video and i plugged it in to my TV headphone jack ... thing... BOOM! I get sound! BUT i was wondering if i bought the adapter if the sound will sound better? Instead of using the headphone jack.

I hope that made sense lol

  • @RonneyOax i think it would be the same.

  • when hooking up to the output on the back of your TV, does that eliminate sound from TV speakers, so the only audio can be heard from the headset?

  • @luked1964 It should, but not all tvs are built the same.

  • it helped a lots thanks...but unfortunately...I will have to go back to the store and buy that fuckin adapter because my fuckin dumbass Tv that I only paid 1200$ dont have those 2 fuckin idiot noob inputs...thats ridiculous...how much is that audio adapter ?...thanks

  • BOOBIES!!!!!!!

  • james is awesome

  • helped alot thanks, like and favorite from me

  • My xbox doesn't have the HDMI port. Just the one slot. How am I suppose to have HD and the Turtle Beaches at the same time?

  • @PlayingWithC4 Well i guess you have to use Component. I have a video for that! Check the description or click on any annotation.

  • Thanks!

  • finally some cunt who is a retard thankyou ladd

  • you legend the video i was looking for thanks really helped

  • is that the only xbox u own?

  • @IcePickSnowmanzzzz well at the time of the video yes that is the only one i have.

  • Does the turtle beach receiver come with the turtle beach?

  • @GruntFuneralPreducti if its wireless yes.

  • @GruntFuneralPreducti NO SHIT DUDE

  • great tutorial!!!

  • is this set up better then the RCA setup?

    (in quality)

  • @Billsthenamefirst Well HDMI for video i think is better and easier. But for the headset audio, RCA is the only option i have. But if i had the option to use Optical i would.

  • @Billsthenamefirst Well HDMI for video i think is better and easier. But for the headset audio, RCA is the only option i have. But if i had the option to use Optical i would.

  • @Billsthenamefirst Well HDMI for video i think is better and easier. But for the headset audio, RCA is the only option i have. But if i had the option to use Optical i would go with that one instead.

  • @DJparsons89 so... let me get this strait, the HDMI and audio adapter are taking the place of the Xbox AV cables that go into the back of your tv? and what do you mean RCA is the only option you have? Didn't you just plug in the HDMI and audio adapter? I need to know because I might not be able to use this set up if I have a component av cable or s video cable for the xbox.

  • @Billsthenamefirst The x31s only have RCA inputs. Where as the x41s have optical there are options. HDMI and the Component cable do the same thing. The audio adapter is for the RCA output encase someone needed them if they are using HDMI. In this case us. So you choose how you want your setup to be. If you using HDMI follow this tutorial if you have to use component follow my other tutorial.

  • please help

i plug in the red/white wires into the L and R input but no sound is coming out pls help...

  • @ShlomsDaGangSta Where are you plugging in the Audio cables into?

  • @DJparsons89 L and R inputs on my tv i would give u a url for a picture but youtube block it....

  • @DJparsons89 turtle beaches work with my xbox i want to use them for my tv though my old samsung tv let me do that

  • @ShlomsDaGangSta Ok well if you connected the audio cables to your TV and your not getting sound those ports might not be audio out.

  • @DJparsons89

i posted the picture on tinypic do u have an email so i can email u the link please?

  • U know I bought the freakin x12's NOT knowing it had fukkin 20 different wires n shit... so i was like fukk this im'a Google this shit!!! and found your video! help me out alot setting up this crazy ass headset the right way! Thx bro!

  • hella good video bro.... i was sitting there trying to plug my cords into all different places and testing it to see if it would work..... shoulda just looked this up first

  • @jokersanarchyx well that is why i made this. glad it helped!

  • im not getting a picture?

  • @BrandonDaKid23 your missing a video cable!!

  • @DJparsons89 nah i got it, I just didnt have it plugged in right. Anyways, thanks for the video, you helped me out alot.

  • Thanks soo much

  • simple as that...

  • How do i mute the tv and not the headset?

  • @Kreighzey idk i just mute my TV. If you mute your TV and your headset mutes as well check the audio settings to see if there a settings for Audio Output.

  • @Kreighzey mute your tv and your headset should still work

  • Please help.

My px21's are fully connected, i can go online and the mic works, i can communicate with friends fine, but i have no game volume through my earphones, ive changed all settings on the little box on the wire, and nothing changes. PLEASE HELP

  • @MASTERJORD What are you using to connect your Headset audio up? The adapter. Or Your TV?

  • @DJparsons89 basically i have my headphones, theyre connected to my tv by the red and white things, and to my xbox by usb...

  • @MASTERJORD well if your sure you have everything setup right and your audio knobs on your headset are up then maybe your TV doesn't have the right output. Check your TV for its audio settings to see if you can change something to output the audio. Also try to see if you can hear the TV/ cable audio if you can hear that but not your XBOX then it might not output other inputs audio.

  • PLEASE HELP ... i brought ear force bravo. and i connected them with the hdmi alternative setup but i can still hear from the tv and i dont want to hear anything from the tv please answer ASAP

  • @XxLebTechxX Mute the TV. If Muting your TV mutes the headset audio check your TV settings to see if there is some sort of Output setting. If you can't find anything that helps lower your TV enough that you can still hear it in your headset, then on your headset increase the game quality.

  • @XxLebTechxX If your TV has a headphone jack (they are usually on the side) you can use this to bypass buying an HDMI audio converter. Usually when you plug in headphones it will mute the TV.

  • @XxLebTechxX because hdmi carries video and sound your tv will make sound so when you are playing xbox you should hit the mute button on your tv remote

  • Lol i just took the time to cut up my microsoft component part that fits in the back and i cut off the bulky shit on the side that stops it from hitting the HDMI works just fine.

  • @noobertoober1 realy? xD ill try that

  • @noobertoober1 what did u use to cut it?i tryed a knife but it sucks

  • @cantrememberwhy123 i used a band saw, but was extra careful not to cut the wires.

  • Thankyou, this helped me out a lot :D

  • *without

  • On my px21 instructions, it says u can plug the rca splitter into the tv in Audio OUT with having to connect the xbox. Then just use the hdmi normally. Will this work

  • You dont need an adapter you can just change the audio settings If you were smart

  • In some TVs you might have to go in and change your audio out settings. I have a 47inch vizio LED with the wireless and all that stuff, had to change a few settings around to get it to work. Good video though

  • WHAT IF i just have x11s, wired and a single hmi. wtff??

  • @eZiReMythiX still follow the tutorial. All the connections are the same.

  • thanks man, helped alot

  • Hey, i have Turtle Beachs (X1) and i have an HDMI cable. My TB's are wired, and it didnt come with a reciever. Im going to go order an adapter, but do i still need the reciever also? Please help, would mean alot thanks ! :) also great video, very informative :p

  • @DJaniel8776 The receiver is for the Wireless function and no you don't need it.

  • hey wassup bro i just bought the g155 portable gaming system and i have the x31...however it is ONLY HDMI compatable the g155 and there is NO output does that mean i need to buy a converter?

  • @xXJaySwaggx unplug the piggy back cable that hooks into the Wireless receiver. Get a 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable and plug that into the the receiver and the audio jack of the portable system.

  • @DJparsons89 nicee thankss ill let you know how it goes when i try it out!!

  • great video but question. i have the x41. i i got hdmi connected to xbox n hdtv and also i butterknifed oped the back of the thing tht goes right above the hdmi in xbox. im able to see the xbox on tv but no sound?

  • @idodiswavy Well do you have your Optical/ Piggy back cables plugged in? Or are you not getting sound from the TV?

  • @DJparsons89 ok so i got the sound to work on tv and xbox360. lol but can i watch tv with the headset? what would i need extra?

  • @idodiswavy Well to do both with out having to switch them all the time idk. Probably a Home Theater System. Or if your TV has audio outputs then that would be another method.

  • WHOO! 270,000th viewer!

  • can u use any hd analog av cable?if not please direct me to a place/website where i can get it one.

  • @IGodzillaJuniorI ya i think you can. Just piggy back the Audio cables.

  • Sawink no I have the x31 and that's what I did but I plugged it into the tv and I didn't get a hdmi and mine still works perfect

  • Also this is really a PS3 headset. There is no sound monitoring for chat over Xbox 360. (the echo so u can hear your own voice volume)

  • will i need a audio adapter for X12's

  • @zak9823 if that is the only way you can setup the console then yes.

  • " If this doesn't work for you I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO" lol you are funny man I'm gonna try this out hopefully it helps.

  • Hey. IS that the Xbox Hdmi cable? Because i use a normal hdmi cable but it cause some lagging. Can you please help me!!

  • @fsx2100 Sorry i wouldn't be able to help. I just know how to setup. Don't know why the HDMI would be screwed up.

  • yeah, this is the way the instructions showed in the little booklet for my new x11s. my problem is that the sound plays through my tv AND headset, and when i mute my tv, it also gets rid of the sound in the headset. also, when i select to play voices thru my headset, i can't hear them, but when i choose to play them thru the speakers, i can. can anyone help?

  • @mastrofpuppets26 test to see if its not just your headset. Try composite for a second. If that works then the only thing i can suggest is lowering the TV volume lower then normal then increase the volume on your headset if it has a volume knob.

  • Well i have a problem first plugged in hdmi then ethernet cable like u said but thyen when i put in av cable and put everything in my tv has no signal PLZ HELP!!!!

  • @LieutenantRaptor are u doing the cracked open Component cable hack? cause if u are make sure that cable is not plugged into the TV at all. HDMI should be the only thing connected. Does your TV get signal without this av cable plugged in? cause if you are getting a signal with the HDMI only then there is probably an issue with doing what your doing.

  • i couldnt find the adapter anywhere i checked a LOT of stores so i gave up and bought it online.

  • How do u do it with new xbox?

  • @Rjborgs i think the audio adapter works for the new XBOX. But if u want to make sure do some research.

  • where did you get your adapter???

  • @Dstruction117 I bought the official HDMI cable for the XBOX 360

  • @DJparsons89 but where because i live in canada and ive gone to every store looking for it and i cant find it

  • @Dstruction117 sadly they don't sell it stores like they used to. I bought mine at best buy. Check Gamestop/ EBGames. Or check any games store that sell used accessories.

  • can anyone help me? D:

i just got x41's and its all set up correctly but i don't have game sound, just chat :( can anyone help?

  • @TheCrazynoonga123 Check your game volume knobs.

  • @DJparsons89 i have triple checked every thing and still no sound :/

  • @TheCrazynoonga123 if you checked everything. And its being powered then maybe its broken? Have you tried other setups? like the RCA?

  • game sound is only coming of out one side of my x11 but chat is both ears. i hooked it up without the adapter because my tv has the output. help me?

  • @Joshumsnukka Does your TV have Left and Right audio Out? that seems to be the problem.

  • @DJparsons89 I actually figured it out. the silver casing on one of the rca was stuck in the old port so electricity wasnt going through the rca.

  • @Joshumsnukka you figure that out yet? guess it could be a lot of reasons. Do you have both red and white cables plugged up? Is your TV in mono sound mode and not stereo? Are you using HDMI with the headset?

  • my TV has a audio output but its just 1 and it doesnt even have a color. is there a way to use it or am i fucked?

  • @n3wyORkSzfiNESt you can use Component. Or buy the adapter. Or if you have an audio jack for a headset try that.

  • Guys you dont need a audio adapter almost every tv has a audio output!!!

  • an other way is to take an audio cord like head phone have and plug it in to the head phone jack in you tv and then plug the other end in to your recver.

  • X12

  • @TranquilityDreaaMz no you are wired. You do not need the wireless receiver.

  • SOMEONE HELP ME! If you don't have the turtle beach reciever can you not connect it up to your xbox using HDMI?

  • @TranquilityDreaaMz you won't get any audio! Now are you sure you have the x31's? cause the receiver is just for the wireless version.

  • AUDIO ADAPTER, Y U NO TELL ME I NEED YOU?

  • For x11s can you just use the l/r output on the tv?

  • @CloiuFace yes.

  • I'm sorry, but, Turtle Beach is shit.

  • @Syn94 sorry if that is your opinion. But i personally think TBs are probably one of the best starting headsets. Also i got this almost a year ago so there might be better but i can't buy them all. What headset do you have?

  • @DJparsons89 I don't really buy into the "Pro" gaming headsets, waste of money IMO. I just go with the good ole' microsoft headset.

  • @Syn94 HAHA and you are saying Turtle Beaches are shit. Wow if u don't even own a headset your opinion is pointless imo. Paying almost 300 bucks is "Pro" not 60-120 bucks. Some ppl buy this headset so they can play at night others buy it because its a better audio experiment. You in this case seem like you don't give a shit? am i correct? probably. Also the good ole' headset doesn't play the game sounds threw it. You should know what your talking about before posting.

  • @DJparsons89 I'd rather use my Skullcandy headphones to hear in-game audio.

  • @DJparsons89 so in order to be pro you need to pay 300 dollars? i use x12's and i got them for 40

  • @shellyson13 If u want the best Quality. Yes going that much is probably the best. But getting even the cheapest gaming headset is still going to improve your game!

  • My tv has a output and allows me to listen to all devices and cable tv with my turtle beach.

  • @excinic

    me too

  • Just a tip to add, if you plug into the TV Output then the volume on your headset is controlled by your TV volume as well as on the headset. This means that if you mute your TV you mute the game (or anything else you would hear through your TV) audio coming into your headset as well, and since the Turtle Beach's are so sensitive to sound it really doesn't pay to have audio coming from your TV and your headset as well, so you're better off buying the adapter.

  • @stonedsasqwatch your TV might but not mine. i can mute my TV and hear sound.

  • Here is another quick and easy way around this:

    1. Find a cord with 3.5mm (standard size) jacks on either end

    2. Plug one end into the audio output of your tv

    3. Stick the other end into the RF adapter thingy

    Enjoy :-)

  • @mrDalton I am so happy for you, and thank you for sharing that with us

  • i used "option 2" and it works fine

  • Help! I am using a HDMi with my x41's and i have it set up correctly but my video doesnt work. the audio does... whenever i unplug the av audio adapter my video starts working and then my audio will not work. obviously.. Ever heard of anything like this? thanks for your time

  • hey man what adapter do i need to have my hdmi and still have the turtle beaches? i heard you could do it with some adapter? which kind though. Thanks! :)

  • @MadMax817 i have an ebay link in the description of what it looks like and if your need to buy one.

  • Well I hooked it all up correctly. But my problem is I cant talk, when i mute it it shows the little sound think next to my name is the party, but then when i turn it on, it goes away

  • @xExiledv is your chat cable the right direction? cause there is a certain direction. Also the headset has to be powered for you to talk (probably one of the down falls of the wireless feature) If you have everything setup and nothing is wrong with the connections the mic might be broken...

  • So helpful! Thanks!

  • 135 dollar headset and its designed to run on a TV that doesnt use HDMI. What the fuck? They shouldve at least told us that we needed an adapter!

  • Lucky for me, I 1st had a XLC (which was horrible). Then I went to the tritons devastator, then went to these, out of all that, I come out with a spare adapter!

  • Help!! I plugged in my red n white cords on the back of my tv and no game volume!!!

  • @BlackIrishPanda make sure the xbox cords are plugged into the turtle beach cords.

  • so this will actually fit above the hdmi chord?

  • Thank You. You've been very helpful.

  • thumbs up if thsi screwed over your christmas day beacuse of one stupid audio adapter and no stores are open.

  • @payden199

    1) pull the plastic casing off av cables.

    2) plug them in and connect your turtle beach

    3) put the hdmi in and then to your tv.

    4) ???????????????????

    5) profit.

  • @oBLACKIECHANoo GENUIS!!! TYTYTYTYTYTYTYTY!!!!! <3 YO DO YOU KNOW HOW TO CONNECT THE AUDIO FROM A XBOX THAT'S CONNECTED TO A FLAT SCREEN THROUGH HDMI CABLE TO A HOME THEATER SYSTEM? I WANT THE HIGH DEFINITION GRAPHICS FROM THE HDMI BUT I WANT THE AUDIO TO BE TRANSFERED TO THE HOME THEATER SYSTEM;)

  • @payden199 The new xbox doesn't need an audio adapter. you can just use optical.

  • @SkaterNicko123 not every one has the new xbox 360. Also the x31's don't have optical.

  • @DJparsons89 i was talkin bout the x41s obviously.

  • Thanks so much this worked great

  • HELP I HAVE A HDMI OUT PLUGGED MY TURTLES IN AND NO SOUND IS COMING THRU THEM. THEY WORK FOR REGULAR AUDIO/VIDEO.

  • @CASn1p3r Haven't you watched the video? You need an HDMI audio adapter as well...

  • i run my xbox 2 a a hd tv with the coloured plugs would i have to go out and buy the hdmi cable or would i just the plugs into the back of the turtle beach red and white pugs

  • i buy a 150 dollar headset so i can go to bestbuy for a 20 dollar attachment just so i can play with it. turtle beach should either include it in the box or tell people that they needd it

  • @Mattboy300 no think every one uses Component.

  • @Mattboy300 I know!!

  • why is it when i have my turtle beach setup and i change the channel from the xbox one to another one my xbox resets???

  • Comment removed

  • do you have to have an adio out adapter

    ??????????

  • @imthemasteratbod8 no. Watch the video i show two options.Or you can use Component.

  • I got a vizio hdmi tv and it's got some HD ports but they don't have any red or white ports for the actual HD channel. It's got some for componet but not HD would I need to get the audio adapter still or could i just plug it in the analog ones?

  • @devilgundam2 If there is no RCA Audio output then yes your probably going to have to look into getting the audio adapter. Or YouTube "XBOX 360 Component Hack"

  • So you dont even need an audio adapter if you have the red and white outputs on your tv right? Cause i have an hdmi fron my Xbox to my tv but i can just plug in the red and white Cables from the tutle beaches into my tv and everything will work correct?

  • @teleman4758 Yup it should work.

  • does all of this come with the turtle beach

  • @TheEPICnations i have an unboxing. if you need to see what comes with it.

  • @DJparson89, yea it does so i will just go ahead and sub to you

  • I am getting this headset for Christmas, and i just hope that this works on my TV, if it does i will subscribe :D!

  • @ugallin well its simple does your TV have Audio RCA output ports? if so it probably will.

  • I'm going to have to get that cable, but without you I wouldn't know to get it! Thanks a lot man! Keep up the good work.

  • Fuck off with your audio out adapters. Theres a way to do it without it, but I can't find it.
