The other support was 48151 one as it acted as the rear barrier coach for 70013 leg and had to be return to Carnforth. 48151 ran light from Manchester Victoria.
i will, i have been working away, i always enjoy looking at your pictures, i am working my way through about 600 e-mails at the moment lol so your update will be in there:):)
no worries mate, i am having trouble with the max comments thing, it is a pain lol i'm colour blind and youtube has to keep changing the colour of the words so i can't read them !!! arrrr
oh very much soo thats as close as ill get to see 71000 lol but it was a great turnout to see the locos used on this charter, i was coming to carlisle anyway but i only found out the day before i was coming that there was them locos on a charter did you enjoy it?
I sure did. I managed to cop all four locos in three seperate locations; 48151 at Lea Green (Merseyside), 70013 at Kirkby Stephen and here of course, and 45407 and 45231 at Carlisle. A spectacle only made possible by good co-operation with WCRC and Network Rail and, not least, the unsung heroes of railway preservation. Thanks again for viewing!
yes i agree, wasnt 48151 known for setting lineside fires? and yes they have done well restoring oliver it looks very well, notice how they have wrote oliver cromwell on (has someone stolen it) me and my dad were having a big discussion about it and thats the only thing we can think of of why it has no name plate
great vid 5* i was infront of OC as it arrived in, OC arrived in about 15 mins earlier than it should have done, i would have videod the black 5's out but i went up north a station to get the locos at kingmoor and came back earlier than expected to film OC depart from carnforth as i said great vid am gunna rate it 5* and add to ma favs
OC is looking really good .,,nice vid and thanks 5and a fav ,,im not gonna be able to see this loco when it passes Bathspa in September im gonna be on my Hols so im glad i seen it on here and thats a great whistle !!
We actually ran early quite a lot of the time, and were well up arriving at Carlisle. Early arrival at Appleby, and also left 10 minutes ahead of time.. Arrived at Hellifield about 20 minutes up but for some reason had to wait for our due time before being allowed onto the Clitheroe line. Again a few minutes early into Blackburn. Left a few minutes down but was not on board for the final bit.
That extra support coach was I think one belonging to WCRC, Hogwarts Express???
Funnily enough, I was walking onto Carlisle station just as 70013 was rolling in; what perfect timing! I've just found out that the extra vehicle belonged to 48151, and 70013 was taking it on her way back to Carnforth. Cheers ralph5407; hope the event was great for you, as it was for me.
cool video mate, i ain't sure but i think the other suport coach belongs to 48151 as it looks like the 1 used by the loco when i saw it on the scarbough spa express last wednesday 5*
Very interesting question, I assume the 'souvenir hunters' have been at it again... LOL! 70013 was running in the same condition as she was in 1968, hence the lack of her nameplates.
Nice one Dave, extremely lovely to see Oliver Cromwell actually run a successful tour, as the others had been cancelled! Was it running an hour early by any chance?
Nice one Dave, its sister, 71000 is good, but this is brill ! 5*

really good video of Olive Cromwell, would you know if 70000 Brittania is still with us? i have it as a working model. 5*
Dunky1962 3 years ago
Cheers Dunky1962! Yes, 70000 is still with us, but it's currently in pieces. But she'll be back soon enough...
theamateurbasher 3 years ago
thank you for that!! i can't wait to see her running.
Dunky1962 3 years ago
It'll be a long time, but I'm sure it will happen. Two Brittanias working in the 21st Century? A more than fine prospect indeed...

Meanwhile, more 1T57 material available, and photos on my fotopic if you wish to take a look.

I wouldn't know how many times Brittania has been rebuilt (apologies, I accidentally deleted your comment - hope you'll excuse my mistake.) Cheers!

48151's mishap earlier in the year was well and truly forgotten when I saw her speeding through Lea Green.
70013's nameplates haven't been stolen (not this time anyway). She was running in the same condition as she was in 1968, with the names painted on.
theamateurbasher 3 years ago
oh because watching some videos of her first start out of gcr shed she had a plate on.
rymer94 3 years ago
She'll have her own nameplates back on now, this was just a one-off.

Thanks GWRDec. 45407 and 45231 shunted the particular vehicle into the stabling road before backing onto 1T57.

they probs didn't detatch the 8fs support coach at the point were another loco took over, only a guess mate

I think you're right, seen another video of 1T57, of 48151 at Manchester Victoria without it's vehicle.

mststv - I too say 60009 at Lea Green, but made a mess of the photos. :-( Oh well, better luck next time.
woolybak8 - I would think 1T57 was pretty much running to time; all four engines performed impeccably, especially 70013.
HSTHoward - Good luck for seeing 70013 at Tonbidge.
