can anyone tell me why they nerf protoss units but buff all terran units? Battlecruiser HP 500->550, yamato dmg 250->300, wraith -> viking, marine 40hp->55, tank 150hp->160, on top of all that they have thor, marauder, banshee, reaper, which are all godly counter units against protoss. Now for protoss we have.. stalker, the only ground unit that can attack air... 20 dmg nerfed to 15, psistorm 112 damage -> 75.. wow just wow, carrier 8 intercepters -> 4, corsair -> fucking phoenix. WTFFF??

It's just that Terran is easier to micro with, bioball is simple and straightforward, just stim up and move back while shooting.
Not OP, but means that lower lvl players have an easier time controlling them.
Protoss have easier macro. The warpgate makes it very easy to produce troops where you want them, and to keep up with your production. Less risk of forgetting to make troops while fighting.
hey diggity, i noticed in the early game you saw the templar archives warping and you said that maybe whiplash was going for dts. dts in starcraft 2 don't require a templar archives anymore, instead, after the twilight council, you build a dark shrine.
Yeah I agree that LZ is juz goofing off in these two games. His macro/micro is too poor to be serious gaming. Probably relaxing after some hard games.
The game though, is another example of why I'm hearing more and more people say Terran is OP. They have the cheapest and most effective ground army compositions, the heaviest and most powerful air compositions and can get it all done on less bases than the other two races.
Mules = Min +
Medivacs = Mobile +
Reactors = Unit +
Not to mention it's just boring to watch. I might be off here, but I think it takes far more skill to play Toss and Zerg.
@teufelhexen I hate when people complain about mules. Terran's economy is balanced with mules in mind. Without mules, it would be crippled due to the ability of protoss to chronoboost its probes and not commit its probes when creating buildings, and zerg of course can get drones out way faster than terran.
I'm not talking about my play or casual play. The top level players and pro leagues are where the problem lies. There's 1-2 builds that can handle anything any of the other two races throw at you, air or ground. There is literally no drawback to pumping Marines, Marauders and Medi's for the entire duration of gameplay. Couple this with an easy tech switch over to Tanks or Banshee's and Terran is nigh unstoppable in the hands of a skilled player.

that combo will be hard to deal under skilled protoss player command.
Your argument is not valid, terran is the slower at changing techs due the addons. And unless you dont play terran, you will never understand that they are not OP or whatsoever.
Each race can counter their builds if spotted in time.
You're forgetting those builds literally melt under 5-6 rax Marine/Reactor, Marauder/Tech Lab build. Terran can get out twice the units in half the time. You have to tech longer to achieve the units you're talking about with toss and zerg.
Again, there is no drawback for utilizing the MMM build all game long. You're twice the size of a Toss and twice as strong as Zerg in all early engagements. Try producing 2 combat units from any other race all game long. See how far you get.
@teufelhexen If you are foolish enough to let that happen without teching, of course you will be steamrolled. 4 Colossus can take down 40+ marines with combat shields and stim with minimal micro. If you have a wall of zealots or stalkers, the colossus deal more damage. Same goes for the HT, a few well placed storms OBLITERATES marines.
Really bro, when terran has those 6 rax is about middle/end game, i think no toss besides you will complain if terran go all out with bio.

Diggity you really should be playing the game more in order to be more informative, just because it's not exactally like sc1 lol. Dt and templar tech will take different paths which you probabbly learned after this game, but I still suggest you do get some ladder games practice in, just to boost your commentating abilities. There's no way to say that without sounding like an ass maybe, but thanks for the upload.

It's like seeing an offense lined up in a shotgun formation and predicting a hand-off to a running back...
I think toss had a chance to attack and win before the terran got battlecruisers. He could have used pheonix for vision and blink up to the main, forcing the air army to engage and lose their manuerability advantage. I think he just needed a lot more stalkers, too many zealots. I know he was using them as a mineral sink for his HT production, but that should have gone into probes. He was way too low on probes late game.
I think the terran strat was so strange and no one knew the right responses

templar archives only allows the production of high templar. you need a dark shrine for DT's. you seemed to mistake that a few times, diggity, but great game and commentary
Just a friendly note Diggity, in sc2 a Templar Archives only allows you to make HTs, not DTs; to make DTs you need to make a separate building called a 'Dark Shrine' which is also available tech-wise after a Twilight Council, just like the Templar Archives :)

very depressing turtling end game. Yamato canon was great in BW, but I feel it's a little too powerful in SC2. I mean the antiair for P is Phoenix (lol vs BC), voidrays, stalkers and HT.
In BW the Dragoon was very efficient at sniping BC, now stalkers are too weak to do so. The only viable option is Voidray which is nullified by few yamato + vikings kitting. Yes, there is feedback, but very difficult to pull it off.
Here, the good old A-move wins when the P was microing like crazy. Depressing.

This was painful to watch! After the banshees started coming out it was impossible for P to win. If he had colossus to take out the bunkers he would have been better off. Protoss air versus Terran air is a joke. Canons are useless. Im surprised it lasted as long as it did. I thought whiplash did as well as can be expected. Never understood the argument that its fair that the only counter to BC is to not let them appear in the first place. Give me a break.

@naranja18she well I don't think you can exactly compare Brood War with SCII, but the top 20 in kespa are 7 zerg 8 terran and 5 prot right now. Prot maybe a more difficult race to be pro in, but I wouldn't call Terran significantly overpowered
and if you look at the diamond leagues
NA - Diamond – PvT: 55.3%
Korea – Diamond – PvT: 58.0%
Particularly in Korea, I think these guys know what they are doing and on the pro level, i think it comes down to the individual more than the race
ugh he needed to masss void rays sooner. They used to be able to beat vikings with speed but I'm not sure since the nerf. Carriers are worthless nonetheless.
theres a slight delay on the army tab, so that first push actually did even out the game alot. LZ went from 43 to 34 scvs, which put him ahead by only 3 workers.
@neomerik the problem with a push like this is you need to stop production at the natural expansion. Even if you manage to even the worker count out you still are being out produced 2-1 in worker units (and mules on top of it)

@Solidus1086 Where was the hard counter? Four or five Void Rays against 7 or 8 battlecruisers? No. Terran won because Protoss didn't go hard enough anti-air soon enough, and because he didn't capitalize to press home his advantage early. How do you counter mass cruisers? By stopping it early. You can't expect to use High Templar to effectively counter 3/3 Cruisers late game. It just won't work, as this vid showed.

Terran: 18 times, Zerg: 10 times, Protoss: 9 times. Terran won MSL/OSL as many times as Protoss and Zerg combined.
GSL - Terran won once, Zerg won once. Season 3 race distribution:
Terran: 39%, Protoss: 33%, Zerg 23%
Yes sure, Protoss is strong in noob vs noob. But when it comes to pro vs pro, protoss suck. Don't deny that.

@naranja18she well I don't think you can exactly compare Brood War with SCII, but the top 20 in kespa are 7 zerg 8 terran and 5 prot right now. Prot maybe a more difficult race to be pro in, but I wouldn't call Terran significantly overpowered
and if you look at the diamond leagues
NA - Diamond – PvT: 55.3%
Korea – Diamond – PvT: 58.0%
Particularly in Korea, I think these guys know what they are doing and on the pro level, i think it comes down to the individual more than the race

ugh he needed to masss void rays sooner. They used to be able to beat vikings with speed but I'm not sure since the nerf. Carriers are worthless nonetheless.

theres a slight delay on the army tab, so that first push actually did even out the game alot. LZ went from 43 to 34 scvs, which put him ahead by only 3 workers.

@neomerik the problem with a push like this is you need to stop production at the natural expansion. Even if you manage to even the worker count out you still are being out produced 2-1 in worker units (and mules on top of it)

Terran "balance" in action, no matter how stupid their build is they will still win against protoss even if they get hard countered...

@Solidus1086 Where was the hard counter? Four or five Void Rays against 7 or 8 battlecruisers? No. Terran won because Protoss didn't go hard enough anti-air soon enough, and because he didn't capitalize to press home his advantage early. How do you counter mass cruisers? By stopping it early. You can't expect to use High Templar to effectively counter 3/3 Cruisers late game. It just won't work, as this vid showed.
