  • I find it odd how this was a propaganda film to make men feel less intimidated by the MG42.

  • the fucking allies usa robbing all good patents of technologie and other things from my country germany your fucking m60 was a copy of our great maschine gun, yes i hate the american system and your military power, i will never forget you destroying my country and culture, i will never forgive, what you had done to my country, be sure..........

  • what kind of video is this, propaganda film

  • The MG-42 was nicknamed "HITLER'S BUZZ-SAW"!

  • I like how they have added another machinegun sound at the end of the movie that makes it "sound" like it has a much slower rate of fire :)

  • Held one of these today, an absolute masterpiece of a machine gun, I'm totally in love!

  • I think this thing was called 'Hitlersaw' for a reason.

  • you got to know how to use the other guys guns if you have to great training film

  • The fool doesn't even know how to load ammunition to the weapon.

  • Easy enough....OH SHIT STOP SHOOTING AT ME!!

  • maan how carefully these allies touched this german master piece of engineering. German weapons want to be touched hard and dirty.. like your woman

  • Again great clip; regards.

  • It is funny how during WW2, the US was devoted to analyzing and understanding the Germans in minute detail but made no similar studies of its own forces, so that when many soldiers agreed with the independent report made by SLA Marshall, the US Military was shocked that its soldiers said they were performing less well than the higher-ups thought. Ain't complacency great?

  • No bad community with a gun like this in the neighborhood.

  • what a gun I liked it so much I bought my own next is mg34 classics

  • Anyone happen to know which government film this is taken from?

  • @Stritchers :it sounds english but the soldier is american...

    I think its american:P

  • It looks like an American film showing American troops what the Nazis used on the battlefield.

  • best machine gun ever.

  • @nickpluo 2nd

  • holy shit i like that weapon O.O

  • Weapon of mass destruction

  • th eonly bad thing is high reta of fire....it eats bullets like candys:/

  • @34532525

    Thats not a bad thing.

  • sexy weapon

  • Isnt it fg42?

  • No, the FG-42 ("Fallschirmjager Gewehr-42") was a box-fed full-auto rifle ALSO in 8mm Mauser, made specifically for paratroops, but they had controllability issues. The MG-42 is a general-purpose machine gun.

  • no its not

  • Ah,the infamous "Buzzsaw." 7.92 calibur, 1200(or 1500 depending on what bolt you put in)rpm, and a nightmare for anyone on the reciveing end. Say what you will about Germany's lack of a moral compass at the time, but damn they knew how to make guns.

  • and we know how to make guns today too

  • Die Jungs müssen aber noch mal die Grundi wiederholen! Insbesondere die Ladetätigkeiten und das zerlegen des MG-3!!! Kleiner Scherz

  • Those old documentaries are so much more informative than the recent ones regarding guns.

  • @deltafreelancer Of course this one is very informative because it wasn't really a documentary, this is a part of the "educational" film made by the US Army to show their troops how to use German weapons if they capture any.

  • the machine gun!

  • Die Russen nannten es auch die Hitlersäge.

  • wieso die russen? die deutschen.

  • "And remember Billy, it's bark is worse than its bite!"

    "Gee!"

I'm sure that gig got alot of people killed to, stupid fucking 40's era media.

  • one german with a 42 on D-day = over 12000 empty shells, some sources quote 3000 kills.

    1700 more likely I think.

  • your referring to Corporal Franz Gockel of the 719 Infantry Regiment of 352nd Infantrie Division at Omaha Beach WN 62, he fired over 12000 rounds killing hundreds of Americans.

  • bad luck for the yanks!!!!!!!!

  • thats why we call it "propaganda"

  • Its possible to hit a man sized target at 500 yards with 1 or 2 well aimed bursts from the MG3. And with the tripod and the optical sight it reaches even further.

But its a machine gun. So its main objective is firepower and reliability, not accuracy.

  • its true, the M60 incoporates alot of what was in the MG42. It's almost a direct copy

  • kinda favors the M60 doesn't it?

  • The M60 (United States Machine Gun, Caliber 7.62 mm, M60) Introduced in 1957.... This is MG42 (Maschinengewehr 42) was developed for and entered service with Nazi Germany in 1942, during World War II.

  • @zzsql The M60 actually copied the design of the MG42...

  • I gather the American High Command told the troops that the MG42 was much less accurate than the MG34....

  • Which really wasn't relevant since the kill ratio on the MG42 was 100%. If somebody is anywhere near the other side of that barrel, they're dead. That thing was and still is one of the most deadliest weapons ever made.

  • Thats exactly my point, "Its less accurate boys dont worry" yeah right...get your head blown up.

  • lol, the Americans copied elements of the 42 in there M60.

  • Where did you get that statistic?..
