I remember this song and hearing from my Irish friends the sorted details, it really depened on who you asked but here is was is now reported: the cranberries song 'ZOMBIE' which laments the troubles in Northern Ireland and in particular the killing of two children in an IRA bombing in Warrington, England, was written by Dolores O'Riordan, singer of the band. The song also brought attention/awareness to the hardships in Ireland. I really like this song still but tense up when I hear it.
