i really enjoy the idea of this video, although I would prefer it if they weren't show dogs, probably make your point more effective. But one thing I can't stand, is the thick leather collars, and chains for leashes, don't you people understand by doing that you're putting out the illusion that your dog is so aggressive you have to have an extra strength collar and a chain to contain them? you're simply adding to the reputation of the breed by doing that.

Normally, show dogs of any breed are around other dogs quite a bit, and part of their show training is to ignore those other dogs, and whatever distractions may occur. I do agree with the post that said those do not look like Pitbulls. True Pitbulls are athletic dogs. They are muscular, but not overly muscled, and they are agile and quick. The dogs in this video all look like couch potatoes. The show standard does not appear to encourage the breeding of a good working dog. Too bad.

Of coarse they are not trraditional American Pitbull Terriers. They are better, aggression is bread out. We are just trying to change the direction of pitbull to show people they are not what the media shows them to be. Selective breeding is obviously changing the look of the dog, but the loyalty courage and drive is still there. And yes there is some bad people out there sneaking mastiff blood, bulldog blood hurting the Bullies great name. I have 2 traditional pits and a bully pit. Same dogs...

@bkrman66 I saw some of their papers, who knows, perhaps every single one of the hundreds there had fake papers. In any case, like you said, it was impressive that they all got a long, and no matter how you cut the cake, there is definetly bulldog in those dogs, and it's hard for me to see hundreds of bulldogs getting along without an incident. They are not all from the exact same parents. Heck, I see Labradors from litters that don't get a long with other dogs.

Yeah does anyone not see the ABKC banner, which stands for american bully kennel club? American Bullies are NOT American Pitbull Terriers and share very few similarities if ANY to the real thing. You'd be suprized how little actuall game dog blood is actually in these dogs. They are comprised of mostly vairous bulldog blood to make the fat, sloppy, & lazy.

Registered? Maybe yes, maybe no! But these are not TRADITIONAL AMERICAN PIT BULL TERRIERS! However, your point is well taken, as I have never been to an APBT show and seen dog to human aggression. However, at a show with "real" APBT's you probably would see a lot more dog on dog aggression than shown here.

anybody else spot the Olde English Bulldogge at 2:14 in the upper right corner? this is a ABKC show which registers "purebred" (it's not hard to order more registration papers than there are puppies) ABPTs and AmStaffs along with any dog "bully" type dog since the BBCR, a registration they accept, requires only a photo to identify breed and I quote "One of the most important factors to us was not straying from the bully breeds in the foundation." So any bully breed mutt can be ABKC registered

apbt are only 60 lbs max for males females are 50 - 55. these are more bully style. still a great breed

Jasonross57, that is a 'standard' yes........but these are registered pitbulls, and there are all breeds that go under or over the standard with breeding, and other factors. Likewise, a 40 lb adult male pure bred Labrador Retriever, doesn't make him any less of a Lab because he's under (or over) the 'standard'. You are correct on the 'standard' though.

Who says they are registered? Have you seen their papers? Either way its easy to fudge a dog into being UKC registered when they don't require blood testing of parentage. All the BBCR registration requires is a photo of the dog and ADBA is unspecific of what all registeries they accept pedigrees from ("U.K.C.,A.K.C., etc") This is a ABKC event, not a UKC event, which means any mutt or intentional mixed breed qualifies as long as they look anything like a pit bull.

I doubt if every paper has been fudged. In any case, it's impressive with that many dogs around each other with no problems no matter what the breed is. Not all dogs get a long and even the biggest critic would be foolish to not admit there is bulldog in these dogs and some pit. Fair enough?

I just despise BYB like these that give their parvo pups to the shelter to kill for them because they only care about the $. Using this as an excuse to speak out against irresponsible breeders (most Bully breeders), which is only mildly related to the video. im not sure, but i think its the amstaff that has the weight restriction to 80 lbs, the apbt i think has a limit of 120-130.i just looked it up in the kc books. i have an amstaff and stafford, so its great to see people showing these related breeds in a good light. there's no point in being picky about what is a pit and what isnt though. we all could use the good press, and 90% of the public can't tell the difference between a 120 lb american bulldog and a 25 lb stafford anyhow ;)

Yes most of the dogs are larger than the APBT, however the American Pit Bull Terrier is a born LOVER not fighter I would know I have three. A true Pitty shouldn't weigh at max max over 65-70 and 70 is pushing it. But at any rate DOGS ACT OUT JUST AS CHILDREN DO WHAT THEY ARE TAUGHT OR IN SOME IN NEGLECT MEANING WHAT THEY ARE NOT TAUGHT.
