  • juste génial dangereux mais génial

  • should had used something with more range. with full tones symphony but nice job given the materials.

  • Dr. Phibes rises again!

  • Very cool.

  • My long-term sub in physics class built and showed us one of these, it was AWESOME.

  • very tricky, but i finded a way to masturbate on this.

  • OH GOD MY EARS!

  • Très beau

  • nice for parties

  • real visualiser :D

  • WHAT I CANT HEAR YOU IM DEAF

  • lol now that's a graphic equalizer!

  • does it speak in tounges? I could make a fortune selling it to pentacostals

  • Balloon + Speaker + Tube + Fire = This? McGuyver helped you with this, didn't he?

  • lol, i have to agree.

  • enta teni himar hahahaahahahhahahah

  • lol how much fuel should you use??

  • Nice thing, but the music sucks

  • Man that would be cool to have @ a party!

  • interesante el experimento y gracioso sonido hace

  • this is good vumeter..

  • how?

    wow....

  • Congratulations, a model of the first oscilloscope.

  • I know what I want for my birthday.

  • Shockwaves can put fires out because they break the fire triangle by separating heat oxygen and fuel. The disruption causes mixing and cooling and pushes the fire away from its source depriving it of fuel. Its exactly the same as blowing out a candle.

As for nuclear bombs the nuclear reaction generates an enormous amount of heat energy - released as light, thermal, and nuclear radiation. This instantly ignites and incinerates everything within hundreds of meters and creates a huge shockwave.

  • I need my BBQ to do this at parrtys

  • hahaaha, bbq steaks w/ a beat

  • świetne ;)

  • I would love to see a huge Ruben's tube the size of half the stage at a concert connected to a live speaker! That would be purely wicked!

  • weard music

  • Amazing how long ago this tube was made. Very cool visual example to show waves.

  • If President Bush spoke into it would it turn into Hell Fire?

  • LOLOLOLOL

  • Awesome music :D

  • IS IT POSSIBLE TO BUILD A MACHINE USING SOUND TO COMBAT FIRE? If one recorded a fire and reversed the frequencies, would it disturb the fire sufficiently to put it out? Anyway, a fun demonstration thank you.

  • It is the flamable gas that is being altered here. I don't think you could do anything to change the fire that wouldn't be altering the gases in the room. You have to get rid of the oxygen and heat.

  • no ur wrong mythbusters tride it and it worked and explosivs can put out fire just do some reserch !!

  • Why in the flying fuck would you use explosives to put out a fire..

    thats fucking retarded

  • no its not they use it on oil rigs to put out fires because the shock wave cuts out all the oxigen so the fire gose out

but i wouldnt recomend you using this to put out a fire in ur house

  • Oil = Flammable.

    Explosions = Fire

so therefore the oil would just catch on fire even more...

Also even in the cases of atomic bombs, sure there's a huge shockwave, but there's still plenty of things left on fire afterwards..

  • yer but thes r alot smaller and under controle also the explosions are a sertant distance from the fire so the oil dosnt go up in more flames and in atomic boms there is a huge blast of very VERY hot radeation just after the shockwave wich sets things on fire

    sry 4 bad spelling

  • Hot radiation? lol...I won't even comment on that asinine statement. Go read some books it will improve spelling and knowledge of atomic theory and application. RyuuHatake should read those books as well and reference "Red Adair" to see how "retarded" putting out fires with explosives is.

  • yes hot radeation microwaves and gamma rays when used in huge amounts will set things on fire (ever left somthing in the microwave for to long) this is all in the nuclear reaction

o and for my bad spelling is because i am deslexic not stupid thanx

  • Hard radiation...you mean HARD radiation. See Lucien86 for a rapid dose of education. Sorry about the "condition", but I do not believe you are dyslexic. Spell checker indicates when a word is misspelled with a red bar (example: you ARE starpid- see the red line where I misspelled "stupid") This indicates you are simply sloppy and hiding behind a condition suffered by many REAL patients. Take a little time to think, makes a world of difference.

  • i dont have spell checker so i dont have a red bar and maybe i do make some mestaks but you dont have to bite my head of for it so just calm down

  • ... this dude was talking about using sound waves not explosives, which as I said disturb the oxygen. I had said would be needed to cut out the fire, and an explosion just uses a shockwave to do so.

The only way you could use sound would be to destroy or alter the bonds between the oxygen atoms or turn O2 into another molecule, similar to the guy that makes fire "burn" by splitting the two H's from O in his anti-cancer machine. It's not the sound of an explosion, its the physical waveforms.

  • gas*

  • french ppl they have no taste in music

  • agree, the music is just horrible

  • @Villentretmerth What do you expect from the French

  • cool :)

  • Can sound waves be so loud that they ionize the air?

  • Propan

  • yeah dude, its a gas, not the sound itself. I really doubt thats possible at all.

  • Not to be negative, but i prefer that big tesla coil with the mario bro's song

  • Some relays and some copper wire above it to give it that arch would be cool

  • the song please!

  • Artist:Jean Michel Jarre Album: Zoolook

  • HAH, I was just thinking, hmmm, mad sounding music, french uni... Must be Jean Michel Jarre.

  • my poor fricking ears!!!!!!

  • Very good construction I made one of these for the physical science class I taught.

  • nice..Hard to do..But i think the flames are too slow to make a good efect.

  • nice;)

  • you don't know what you're talking about ~.~

ask your history teacher or look it up on wikipedia.

  • holy shit that sick

  • fuck! this is hot

  • Stupid...its a bunch of pin holes in a pipe with propane pumping through with pressure changes caused by the attached speaker...plasma is cooler.

  • SPEAK ENGLISH PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!

  • AMAZING

  • speak in english or french!! thanks!

  • langweilig

  • Auf wiedersehn?

  • gib her ich will es haben!!!!

  • ja nicht schlecht sieht gut aus

  • genau

  • MERDE

  • bien dit

  • Fire!

  • rox!

  • wat jetz so intressannt ?????

  • Milkdrop visualization! XD

  • Ganz meiner Meinung... irgen was Vernünftiges wäre schon Angebracht... :-!

  • haha was für ein scheiß...

  • laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaangweilig

  • und alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllt ^^

  • laaaaaaaaaaaangweilig

  • Sorry, again, misspelled the first.

  • my tube??

    huh?

    VIVE FURAX !!!!!!

  • LA CONSO DE GAZ LOL ,

  • à quand avec une B Tesla ??? lol

  • bientot merci a tous

  • cool

  • Excellent Job!! Provo
