  • what a brave family you have LMAO...it actually looked pretty good. Which of your parents drove to McDonalds that evening?

  • Whenyou peel onions, cut off the two ends and cut the onion in half, then the peel comes off quite easily.

  • good effort Chris! Cooking is a great skill to learn. I might try that recipe out.

  • i gotta admit tho... ur better in the kitchen than i am... the last time i tried to make tea... im not gonna even say what happened... :S

    great video!! :)

  • You're better than me in the kitchen. And I have to clean up.

  • i thought that when the chili went in it looked way too much lol

  • That was strangely entertaining :D

  • All the points I was gonna make regarding dicing, use of BIG knives for chicken etc have already been made, so I'll just say that old-school scales + gas hob = I love your kitchen!

My flatmate won't actually touch raw chicken, if he's cooking, he bribes me to chop it for him! That's ok though, I get HIM to chop onions for me! :P

For a first try in the kitchen, not too shabby at all man. What was the recipe, by the way? It looked nice, I wanna try it! :P

  • Fantastic.

    COLANDER. That's the drainy thing.

  • Haha, so glad i subbed this stuff is GOOD

  • aha chris, this made me lol :]

  • do you go to a private school, where they dont teach food?

  • awesome vid!!!

  • That was the best 8+ minutes of my day.

  • You make me feel like cooking.

  • Me too. It's weird.

  • The pasta-drainey-thing is a colinder :) Just thought you might like to know, for future reference XD

  • It's a sieve :) And it definitely IS spectacular...except my american friends tell me I shouldn't call it by some other name. All those UK products (including the stove) are delightful. I love UK packaging, and UK faucets and you should show us what's in your fridge too. If you did a fridge video one time, like for my birthday :) ....haha

  • Oh and this is incredibly relevant, since at the moment, inbetween my studying for exams, I'm trying to watch every show Chef Gordon Ramsey has done!

  • Well, thanks for comparing me to Gordon Ramsey! =]

  • well your no Jamie Oliver but i will give you an A for effort great job just make sure to measure your dry ingredients out correctly lol

  • my bday tdoay so cool

  • Well you won't make that chili powder mistake again will you? hah. This video was actually quite a bit more entertaining than I thought it would be. You did a pretty good job for someone who doesn't know much about cooking.

  • You're meal looks, well sounds, very good ;-) I think being a good cook requires more than one attempt.

  • OMG what a mess

I laughed very loud when you pealed the union.

  • You have a nice kitchen!

    i love you apron

  • If we ever cook together, I will have to show you how to clean up as you go. Then kitchen only takes about ten minutes to clean, rather than two hours. I do have to say, things do get thrown off if you try to youtube at the same time.

  • I have the same radio as you. :)

    <3

  • looking forward to the mmstaley chinwag :)

  • Hey buddy. Dicing means to cut in squares the size of a dice

  • At least you didn't set the house on fire.

  • wow ur almost as bad as me..... and thats saying somthing =P

  • chilipepperfail

    xD

  • Tip for cutting chicken use a bigger knife and always keep the point down on the cutting board

    cutting will go faster

  • lulziz

  • Lol, loving the scales! I major loled at you nearly setting your house on fire. "she says yes" rofl. And yes, i did watch all 8 minutes

  • That's more than can be said for me! ;)

  • looks like you did a good job, only way to know how much to put in food is to practice. that was nice of you, giving your family break from fixing dinner.

  • Great job, Chris! I can't cook to save my life. A couple comments: "Pasta drain-e-magiggy" = "colander", I believe. Also, you might want to wash your saucepans before using them -- who knows what could have been crawling around in there. It's a good thing no one saw that :-) But, all things considered, very impressive!

  • The best thing i can cook is a full english breakfast. Healthy, I know lol

Can't wait for your chinwag with mmmStaley, he's a legend... =P

  • I think if that was your first time you did really well Chris, top banana.

  • Hehe brilliant. I only started doing this at 22... You'll probably be a great cook by then :-)

  • And where is the vegetables? ;)

  • thought you did quite well actually...the extent of my cooking is poke film with fork and place in microwave for 2 minutes on high xD

  • Im really impressed. My 20 yo Son recentally mastered scrambled eggs. Did you really cook solo?

  • i ALWAYS forget to put salt when cooking stuff and sometimes i make the food too spicey as well. and i mesure things too because i can't estimate just by looking. and that wasn't a mess compared to how i leave the kitchen.

great video! i don't know how 8 min passed so fast...i have the same problem as wilsontech: i can't stand long videos (i also can't stand long comments=P)

    ^_^

  • Very nicely done for a first time! What editing program do you use?

  • That was brilliant, if you did a cooking show it would alaways be on the television.

Last time I tried to cook I dropped the pan of mince (I was making lasagne) onto my foot and the cat was ill from eating it off the floor. I still have a scar on my foot from the burn :(

  • Good try, man! Pasta and sauce gets easier with practice. It's about the only thing I can cook!

Protip... When dicing chicken, use a really big knife :D

  • That was brilliant! You should do a cookery show (: I feel inspired- the next opportunity I get to cook I will do a video response to this (:

  • lol good job, at least it was edible except for the it being to hot but still good job.

  • Good try on the cooking Chris.

  • Best possible way of spending a study break! xD

I have the same brand pasta as you!

I never understand the difference between the spoons, they both go on the table in my house! ;D

  • that pasta drainy thing is called a colonder if you wanted to know

  • Wow I actually watched the whole thing! I rarely do that on long videos. I REALLY enjoyed this! It was funny and interesting all together! I loved the part where you passed out after eating the chikcken, lol! 1 and a 1/2 tablespoons, HAHA!! Superb!

  • Thank you so much Lamarr! I know you where blown away by my culinary skillz!

  • You actually did a really good job; the chili pepper was just the hilarious part, haha! I fav'd this because the camera work was well done and your personality shone thru!

  • Minus the string of constant profanity, Gordon Ramsay's got nothing on you! There is so much to like about this video. Fantastic fun! Favorited and 5*'s just for the dicing!

I have a tough time cooking because of the instructions. For instance, if the recipe reads "separate two eggs," I put on on the back porch and one in the living room.

  • Bill, I need to stop reading your comments in the middle of the night. My landlord was not happy I laughed so loudly. xD

  • Tee-Hee.

  • LOL! I am a bit of an expert dicer!

  • very nice. I want some Pasta! :)

  • Nice apron btw!!!

  • First comment lol Good one Chris!!!
