They bagpipes first appeared on their album "Command to Charge", anything from Signs for the Fallen or earlier does not feature bagpipes.

there is no such thing as celtic/ scandinavian/ viking metal bands. They're all folk metal / progessive folk metal / death metal with a folk theme. Amon Amarth is death metal with a viking theme, but because they choose to sing about something that doesn't change the genre. Same with these. Eluveitie are the same genre as Ensiferum. Amon Amarth is the same genre as Cannibal Corpse. they just sing about different subjects.

its a term, not a true genre. The correct term would be folkish black / folkish death metal. Celtic, priate, and viking are just terms, the same as extreme metal. Extreme metal just refers to death, black and doom metal, or pretty much anything heavier than thrash. Viking refers to any band that sings about vikings, despite the true genre, same with pirate and celtic
