I am not sure which LDS buildings don't have windows. We don't display crosses because we worship a living Christ - not the symbol of his crucifixion. If you read the Old Testament you will understand why anyone cannot walk in off the street and enter the temple. The Ark in the tabernacle represented the presence of God and only the worthy were allowed in the tabernacle. Similarly, members must live worthy to enter the temple. Comparing the Temple the old testament times is a little weird. When Jesus died, the curtain of the Tabernacle tore. Thus, meaning the end of the first Covenent (contract)

Romney believes that people have the right to make their own decisions as long as they are within the law. He promised he would uphold Roe v Wade even though he believed differently.
