wow man mad fucking skills this is the first time i ever saw a pro dj scratch and beat juggle and stay on time! it cracks me up when i see other famous djs get all off time and it sounds like shit but because of their names every one is still like yo man that was dope!!! no that was shit! this kid right here is dope!
@trlbfr01 they're not necessarily different things, you can control mp3s with vinyl. but advantages of vinyl control over using say some buttons, you can scratch, it's more hands on, it's more fun to do, and cooler to watch (which is important when djing is a performance).
@drgreentumb909 Hi. The headshells are screwed onto the arm normally but the cartridges are set to the right at an angle of 23 degrees. This puts them in the same position as they would be at if the arm was straight. I do this on my Technics 1210's & it makes a huge difference. If you have an "S" shaped tonearm I recommend it. It makes the needles skip a lot less. Just loosen the cartridge a little & move the cartridge until it's in a straight line with the pivot point of the tonearm.
In my opinion, this is what beat~juggling really is. Some guys loop sections of a song over & over. This guy actually dissects the song! i.e. he takes instruments in the song & re-arranges them in some great patterns, effectively re~mixing the whole tune. I'm nowhere near his level but I'm getting better thanks to his videos. They've all been such a big help to me mainly because he explains everything so well. Angelo if you're reading this, Thank you so much buddy! Peace out...DJTrueSoul.
@polaroidsky If you want the best of the best so you dont have to upgrade later, I'd suggest technics turntables and a rane mixer. you'll be throwin down a couple grand, but its worth it. Get a rane 57 mixer and download serato scratch live.
that one persone who disliked missed the like button by accendentaly hitting it while he was not carefull tring the beat juggle at the same time as you
Its all good untill i try to loop 1 or 2 beats then the needle is jumpin about like mad, reckin the decks haha, havin fun learning tho , good vidios mang !!
what dj angelo hasnt mentioned so far is that keep the timing in your head while you scratch i.e. 4 beat 1...2...3...4 or an 8 beat via 1..2.3...4..5..6..7..8
Sick video. You really broke that down in a digestible manner. The ability to make something difficult seem simple is the mark of someone who really knows their craft. Thanks for taking the time.
Side note: What's up with your left stylus? It looks like it's about to flee the scene (unless your stylus guard popped out of the groove).
@spin1200s If you watch his 1st tutorial he explains that he sets the cartridge to an angle of 23 degrees. A lot of turntablists do this. It means the needle is in a straight line with the pivot point of the tone arm & is in the same position it would be if he had straight tone arms so therefore skips less but apparently wears down the record faster. Peace out...DJTrueSoul.
Thanx For all your Videos Angelo I started off djing just as a beat mixing DJ but after I saw your videos Im getting into turntablism thanx to ur videos.. You're a Great DJ and a great Teacher....
Hye angelo thanks for puttn this vid out im still learning the juggle its very hard so i post that vid but not as good as urs cause u got mad skillz thanks again for being the best tutor on youtube

1. better feeling because of a bigger wheel to turn
2. its analogue so you have no limitation on your pc power
that are the main advantages

yo Angelo, do you mount your headshells at an angle? looks like the left one is, i've seen people do this but do you find any advantage to it?
