there's megacon in orlando but that was in january I think lol :P I think metrocon and megacon are the only conventions nearby

theres chibi pa this september,i believe sept. 27-28[saturday and sunday] at the palm beach convention center.go to their site or google them. and anime supercon on the weekend of halloween.
