@vrxyled Just because you saw Benny Greb play that fill one time somewhere doesn't mean it's "his" - I play fills like that all the time, I've heard dozens of different drummers use it live and on records, and Emmanuelle Caplette is free to use it whenever she sees fit. Don't knock her for it.

Yes jazz groove! It has a funk influence, but it is a contemporary jazz groove, which can take on many different genres.

u missed the point, i said 'not such a pronounced pulse' referring to the overall GROOVE, its funk not jazz or swing, but really who cares. most music has a pulse of some kind whether its pronounced or subtle, jazz is subtle compared to rock for example.
