In 1975, when I was in the ARMY, in Naples, Italy, there was a "secret" underground military base called "PROTO". It was the NATO war headquarters. Every year they would hold war games for two weeks. They had everything you needed to live there. On my off time, I used to sneak off and "explore" some of the places that were "off limits". I never found anyplace sinister or clandestine, just some cool places to hide out and get high in.
