  • super phénomène de la guitare, j adore ! quel talent et non voyant en plus, félicitation.

  • Amazing skills and voice! Rest in Peace!

  • I thankfully came accross Jeff about six years ago because my mum and dad were big fans. The man is an absolute genius! His style- not just the way he plays- but the scales he uses are brilliant. He gets them just right. My mum was part of the fan club, so she's got the official tablature books. I have learnt to play the guitar on my lap like him and it's easier. I was too young to see him live so I'll have to just play the songs instead. It's only easy if you know how, and this man knew how RIP

  • Jeff Healy = MAGIC

  • pfft and who says you need eyes to be a badass!? Jeff is the man

  • Don't lament too bad guys, every one of the greats is here for his time, to expand our minds as guitarists ( I will assume that most of play since we are watching this) and for us to carry the torch. It is tragic that Jeff Healy lost his life to the cancer that took his sight, but man, imagine if he hadn't lost it???

  • Why do people always compare guitarists instead of appreciating them for their own style and sound?? Guys like SRV, Randy Rhoads and Dimebag all had different styles and were all brilliant musicians. But none are better than the other, they are just different. So stop comparing and enjoy it instead.

  • he has licks to envy!! I close my eyes and play solos when I'm in the zone,, and every time I do,, I find out what it means to 'listen to myself'.. Jeff's gift :-)

  • That's once heck of a blistering solo. Jeff was amongst the very best.

  • the top 3 best guitarists of all time Jeff Healey SRV and Carlos Santanna

  • y did he die he was the best

  • Top-10 guitarists in my mind: Stevie Ray Vaughan Jimi Hendrix Jeff Healey Jimmy Page Eric Clapton Angus Young Eddie Van Halen BB King Jerry Cantrell Mike McCready
  • u forgot satriani, randy rhoads, dimbag etc.

  • nice1

  • Legendary! Jeff has left the building!!!

  • This guy was better than SRV.

  • uhhh, yah I don't know about that

  • haha i hope thats a joke. because stevie ray vaughn is a legend, and alot better than jeff healey. dont get me wrong, i think jeff healey is amazing or i wouldnt be on this video but to say he is better than stevie ray vaughn is just ignorant

  • In music, there is no who's better than who. Its all personal preference, just cause he believes that Jeff Healey is better than SRV does not make him ignorant.

  • He plays cleaner, more original licks, with with just as much or more emotion, and he was freaking blind!

I think that most people will say that SRV is better just because they feel obligated to because he is such a legend, imo Jeff could play rings around Stevie...

  • at least shawnyboie can spell...everybody else thought it was canadians !

  • I can't believe I ain't gonna have the chance to see him playing live!

  • i love talented candains

  • ...regretfully only got to see Jeff Healy live once... His version of this great John Hiatt song is stellar.

How unfortunate to have lost such a uniquely talented guitarist at such a young age.

  • R.I.P life teacher

  • R.I.P. Jeff Healey

  • RIP..

  • R.I.P.

  • The name of the song is: Confidence man.

  • Never Mind i just noticed it in the video

  • Dose ayone know the name of this song?

  • Amazing Person

  • How can he say hello to Jimi and Stevie and so on? xD he's dead. Dead people doesn't speak.

  • He died like less than a week ago...R.I.P

  • they do , if you believe in life after death, heaven and hell and things like that.

As for myself, I still haven't decided if i may believe in theses things or not

Anyway, I found about Jeff Healey's death and I'm devasted.

  • It is sad he died so early. He was supposed to be the main artist of Imatra bigband festival in Finland next summer. Rest in peace Jeff. Your fans will miss you.

  • legend

  • NO!!!

    Why did he die?

When i read that he died 1 week ago in the news i was shocked and now seeing his (incredible) videos i'm crying. I miss you Jeff;(

Two days before he died i was wondering if Jeff Was coming To Argentina:(

  • He died from Retinoblastoma. That's a form of cancer that affects the retina, which is the thin layer of neural cells in the back of the eye. In at least 2/5th of the cases it's caused by genetic mutation. It was the cause of Jeff's early childhood blindness and ultimately took his life at age 42 minus 23 days. Well enough of the clinical talk, let's get back to the emotional.

Jeff, you were great and this Hiatt-cover is just perfect. I'm going to miss your approach to music. Sleep tight.

You will be missed Mr Healey but because of people sharing your music with everyone the way you did, you will live on with us.

God bless you Jeff, say hello to Stevie and Jimi and Dime for us!

  • I had so much respect for this man. He is simply a role model and I am not mourning because he died but rather celebrating his wonderful playing skills. Jeff you are an inspiration for me and thank you.

  • RIP

  • Jeff Healey was really an incredible person. Such an amazing musician, so down to earth and just brilliant.

Not to mention strong willed. It took 40 years of cancer to finally do him in, and he went out with a bang. Playing until the last week of his life.

I was at band practice when I heard the news of Jeff's passing, so we added Angel Eyes to our repitore of covers.

    RIP Jeff.
