You know I worked for them. Getting them to be logical, honest or consistent is a lost cause. I hate even driving through it, now. I feel bad for those still trapped.
Hmmm....I would argue that America is no longer the most 'free' nation on earth. (That would probably be South Africa with its ultra-liberal constitution.) America bans same-sex marriage, kills Iraqis for oil, no longer has habeus corpus in its bill of rights, has its phone lines monitored by the government, is trillions of $ in debt, has its elections fixed via electronic voting machines, and is ruled by a dictator. No offense, but America no longer strikes me as a place of hope. :(
I'm sorry if I came across as sarcastic. I am really very saddened by this whole thing. I don't hate Americans, but I hate the Bush Administration and what it's doing to this once great country, and to world politics in general.
I can't wait for Bush to leave next year. Good riddance.
