  • Killing of innocent Americans just because of one mans stupidity. EVERYONE. is upset about what Jones did . I see constant posts Jones did this he did that he should die & NO ONE GIVES A CRAPE that abroad Muslims KILLED innocent Americans because of one man, these Muslims proved they don’t believe in their on book, they are sinning against Allah, NO ONE CARES. How many Americans die just so long as murdering Muslims are happy.condem jones but not the murders. what the hell is wrong w/h people

  • Flex our powerful military might and invade Iraq and kill hundreds of thousands of innocent Muslims and Islam responds with little resistance.

    .

Invade Afghanistan and kill more... nothing.

    .

Invade Libya and shed more blood... nothing, nodda, not even so much as a protest or a nasty article in the news paper.

Why doesn't the Vatican speak out against what the U.S. government is doing in the middle east?

    .

Or better yet against speak out against what some of their Priests do to young boys?

    .

  • The Vatican and the Jesuit did 9/11 attack! Just look at what the Catholic controls the Nazi to kill the Jews, Gypsies and Christians.

  • burning quran is burning bible and torah because koran has a chapter of jesus and moses, instead of burning koren try to burn the hatered which is taking this world to a desaster. those who dont have a respect of others religion and sentiment i dont think that they love moses and jesus because they are not the followers of jesus they are folowers of pheroh. buring koren wont make any differnece to any muslim because you can burn a book but you cannot burn faith.

  • @SoldierofChrist12345 I suppose you are American and are able to exercise your freedom of speech. Instead of Korans and other holy books (however imperfect they may appear to be) Why not start a national campaign to burn pornography which as an "unregulated industry" is a worldwide scourge that abuses women and children and destroys the sense of dignity of all involved, creating social ills, disease, and moral decay? But beware, burning books can garner more interest in those very books!

  • @SoldierofChrist12345 When was it that "God called" the mosque in 700 "the abomination of desolation"? Several hundred years before Christ and even more before Mohammed existed? "God told " you that "those are the words of the netherworld"? Taking the Hebrew prophets out of context is not a substitute for "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, pray for those who persecute you" and to witness for the Body of Christ by his commandment to "Love one another as I have loved you"

  • One comes to faith in Jesus Christ by the preaching of the Good News of Salvation which is inseparable from the demonstration of Love. "I give you a new commandment, love one another as I have loved you"

Dialogue and Ecumenism would be rendered meaningless if Christians revoked their Creed in the name of brotherly love or world peace. Ecumenical Dialogue is predicated on the notion that each party holds different Creeds of one kind or another.

  • Yes there is only one true faith, faith in the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faith in the Resurrection.

Christ teaches us in the Gospels to "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you" "This is how they will know you are my disciples, if you love one another". He also said "Preach the Gospel to the ends of the world"

Dialogue, which is a form of communicating in a non violent manner, thus reflecting respect for the dignity of the other an is essential aspect of Love.

  • If a Muslim who owns a Koran comes to believe in the Christian faith and decides to burn it, this would more closely reflect what we read in the passage of Acts 19:19 . However, Islam is a monotheistic religion not sorcery/occult. As confused as some Muslims may be on certain aspects of universal human dignity and hence the nature of divinity, burning their holy book does not necessarily lead anyone away from violence toward Truth nor does it preach the Gospel to them or anyone else.

  • There are in fact Muslim denominations that interpret the Koran not as giving them a license to violate the dignity of other human beings in any way. These are the Sufi and Amadiya Muslims of Persia, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Why in this part of the world? For one, influence from outsiders along the ancient silk route. Influenced by who? Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs etc.

Influencing the Muslim world through respectful dialogue as much as possible must be the priority of the Church.

  • Christianity was built upon the foundations of a Judaism which had already begun to be influenced in it's thinking by the classical Greek schools of philosophy. Islam likewise needs to be influenced in it's thinking and philosophy. The best way to accomplish this is not by violence but by communication. Burning books will only highlight division and will not offer Muslims the chance to encounter and be encountered by the message of the Gospel.

  • Christianity an Judaism in the West have both contributed to the ideals of freedom of conscience (religion and speech) and have greatly influenced the nations to which they brought their religion. At times they have also been influenced toward respecting the dignity of persons by the world around them. With Christianity it has been influenced by particularly in the past few centuries as the ability to abuse power structures has diminished.

  • Thank you for this video, its clarity and its message. I agree 100 percent.

  • D'accord. It isn't right to offend someone and their religous beleif.

  • I completely agree with the Vatican's statement. This is offensive to Muslims. It is deplorable and repugnant.
