I just caught this movie today thanks to my cable company - it was lovely. The lead actors were so attractive. It speaks to the horrors and destruction of war, but, we never learn the lesson for long before it's forgotten in the pursuit of patriotism and machismo.

It`s such a touching movie!! I saw it at first when I was 15 years old and cried like a baby at the End:-) The movie left a deep impression to me, such convincing and humane performances, unforgettable pictures and music... And the beautiful couple - a real eye candy!

Vladimir Ivashov, unfortunately, passed away at age 55 from a Heart Attack. In his later days, he lost popularity, and had worked in a Railroad yard to make a living.

Unfortunate.

I believe the Young Beautiful Ukrainian-born actress is still alive and working as an accomplished actress
